[Dirtco]

A vote for Dirtco here! :first:

I've seen the rig in person. I've run my hands over the welds, talked to the creator about the methodology, and witnessed both form and function exist together in one rig at the highest level that I believe they can in a 3rd gen that is still built more/less around the factory platform.

For added cool factor, the rig has been built in part with the old bones of his former 'Yotas. And if you think he's got access to the same tools as a full tilt fab shop, you'd be surprised. The guy is making it happen with a set of tools that most people here would call an "average" collection for an enthusiast.

Plus, if he wanted to put a solid axle up front he would. And he'd do it in about a month, but with some custom tweaks that would blow the doors off anything we've seen this year. Then it would be copied repeatedly, because it would be that good. Finally, to wrap it up, he'd run it up the nastiest sets of rocks available (that he hasn't already run) between California and Maine...with style.

Hands down, T4ROTY qualified.

PS... To the 16 people who have voted for me so far, I sincerely appreciate your votes. This forum has shown me alot of love, but this contest is not mine to win. I'm humbled by the votes, but if you planned on voting for me, go ahead and send one Dirtco's way and let's take it home for the 3rd gens two years in a row.

Wow, thanks Nick!!! That's one hell of a complement! I honestly don't know what to say, I'm not very good at expressing gratitude through a computer, but that post sure means a lot to me (especially from someone like yourself who knows from experience the time I have in it)! It would be an honor to win T4ROTY, but really I'm just glad I could share a little of my experience building my 4Runner.

Wow! It's an honor just to be in the company of these other awesome 4runners not to mention being voted T4ROTY. I'm humbled by all the votes that came my direction. As it's been stated before, all the candidates here are winners along with those who they helped and inspired along the way. A great big thanks to all those who supported me and the T4R nation!
