This is the Gen I grew up admiring, it's the reason my dad bought a 3rd gen and I bought a 4th gen. There are loads of nice builds on here, JamesD, Struth and VWfast67 are just a few examples. Never the less I will once again vote for GonOvr as that is one awsome 4runner. :D

Man, when we all got together we were supposed to meet back up after 1/2 the group hit some harder trails. We didnt see you guys the rest of the day and we were all over. Not sure where you guys went off to.

I wanted to get a big group picture.

We got lost after we ran some yellows lol. By the time we made it back to the office, it was like 5pm, I didn't have my compressor hooked up so we used EN's 12 volt and it overheated. Had to roll on 18psi til we got to Salem lol.

We'll plan another outing, I have full skids now, so I'm down to run some harder stuff.
 
I'm in love with V8 rumble, so there's two choices for me...and it's a tough one.

Hjalti gto's rig is interesting, but I'm suprised it's winning. Balloon tires = functional for deep snow....but ugly as sin.

This is def a tough one being a 2nd gen owner myself. Although a little big for my taste.. Nate's Runner gets my vote. The craftsmanship on his rig is nothing short of amazing. There is some serious time and dedication put into that beast. :hatsoff:
 
hmmm seems like everyone wants to go high to the sky and not spend any money on body protection.
These are all well and good for a day on the tracks but the SS Minnow and the epic icelander are the only ones you would really consider doing a decent trip in.
I'd nearly guarantee the other 3 wouldn't make it across the simpson desert here in Aus.
What happens when you hit a kangaroo/deer?

That being said they are all pretty awesome!!! (Its just my personal preference to lose the front bumper and not be able to see the chassis rails).

Dude, if I hit a kangaroo, lack of an armored bumper is going to be the least of my immediate concerns... :D

For the record, mine is very much a project in the making--it is NOT finished. I have an ARB bullbar sitting in the garage, waiting to be adapted to my truck (different suspension and body lift don't match original design), plus sliders and skids later this year. My money is not abundant, so it takes a while.
