Small world, I shoot at blucore every now and then. Nice range.

I know there are a few other members in the area. Been thinking a meet up some where would be fun. I'll have to start a thread.

Thanks, that means a lot. I've been inspired by several friends and family members who served and sacrificed in the air force and army while building it. It starts a lot of conversations wherever I go. I've been able to meet a lot of people who served that see it and remind others about what those I know have sacrificed.

I'm starting the rear bumper ends. I came up with a mounting idea if you like recessed bolts. Welded fender washers on pipe and tacked a spacer on. Bolt them on, built a cardboard template, then fab and attach. I'll post pics as I go.

I'm close too. I'm right up from Flatirons Mall. We should have a meet up.

Here's the cardboard pattern. I'll reverse it for the other side and add bolts for a ladder.

Started a meet up thread. Hope I put it in the right spot.

Rough steel origami is done for both sides. Holes will get bigger when I verify exact locations.

I made up some custom reflectors for the ends. Bought cheap stick on one's then made the mesh covers. They were a little too plain looking and I like little details.

Got them roughed in. Now just need to pull them, finish and paint.

How much weight have you added?

If you had to guess, how much weight do you think you've added in all this? I've followed the thread and this thing is super cool! So unique and such a different approach to such a solid foundation. I would definitely put this above a SAS since that's been covered before! Amazing work and your attention to detail as well as your fab work is incredible.

He has already talked about the weight, and he said it's around 250lbs greater than stock (without the generator).

Sorry, was just curious if there was any updated estimate. Looks like the air ride is definitely working well though with a lot of it behind the rear axle

Thanks, the air lift is definitely needed with the weight out back. Plus it rides awesome with a trailer.

No apologies needed! I was just sourcing my response a bit and letting you know that the weight was his claim.

The back end is finally getting trimmed at the bottom. Just finished painting and undercoating so I bolted them on. The brace rods are for mud flaps. They will be custom cut clear vinyl so they're unique. I welded short chains on the back to tie them up when off road. That way they don't get ripped off when backing up against hills or large rocks.

Finished the mud flaps. The stock exhaust was in the way, so I whipped up a new one I'll replace when I do the muffler. First pic is street mode, second is off road mode for clearance. So now there's steps and mud flaps that change for the trails.
