TE Parts Needed to Convert SR5/Limited Exterior

I'm considering a 2014 TE Premium, which only sells with one tone trim all the way around. Any idea if this mod would work on a 2014 TE?

You'd have to swap quite a lot to make it work (headlights, bumpers). It isn't worth the hassle with the '14, IMO. I'd just vinyl wrap your overfenders and rear bumper (at the contour where the "bumper" begins on the skin). I don't know how you make the transition from the front overfender to the bumper look very good, though.

With the change in look, trying to decide if I should go with a TE 14 off the lot (whose look I think I can get used to), or to search for a used 10-13 with the black trim that I've always been a fan of.

Well took your advise and came home today with a Brilliant White TE Premium! Looking forward to projects ahead, possibly including painting/plastdiping black the flares / silver chin.

That was one of the things I liked about my 2010 TE...the bolder, black rack (why on earth did they delete that), and the matte black fender flares, bumper, etc.

Now my 2014 looks closer to a Limited than a TE. Given what it is now, what would be the best option to get back the look? Rhino lining, matte paint, what else? Not a fan of Plasti-Dip for it's durability.

Looking up some parts has led me to listings like this(ebay) and this(ebay).

Are these fake parts?

I agree, while I do prefer the looks of the 10-13 TE, if I were to get a '14 TE I'd definitely paint or dip the flares black. Someone here has done it and it looks great IMO.

I have a 2016 Limited 4x4. I'm wanting to put some good rock sliders on it but I keep being told that I need to trim my rocker trim for this to work. I don't really want to start hacking up parts of my brand new truck. if I could remove the trim and replace it with the "Trail" trim pieces I think that would be better. Is this possible? Has anyone done this? Do you know which parts I would need to order for this? I'm a 4Runner nube this is my first 4x4 truck. I really love this truck just want to add some armor to it for protection.

So I too have a 2016 limited and I want to swap out the front bumper and rockers. I've ordered the sso rear bumper. So looking things over, all I need is
Front bumper
Bumper support
Rockers
Molding
Is there anything I'm missing other than nuts and bolts and clips.
I know I have to get it painted.

Really interested in this mod, and i wanted to get an updated list of items and latest pricing along with the needed clips. I didn't see any other updated list posted anywhere, and if i missed something please let me know.

Not sure how many clips/screws/grommets are needed so i didn't put quantity on them, and you can reuse the ones that don't break.

I didn't have time to look over your list but this write up and mine on my sig should get you squared away with all that you need. There will be clips that you can reuse and most will break off. Rule of thumb is this, and keep this in mind it's very important, if you're trying to save a clip from breaking off and it's taking too long, just break it off and replace it. This will save you a lot of time. You will know once you start taking oem parts off. Good luck!

Hi all. Just bought a 2016 limited and I absolutely hate the front bumper. I want to convert it to a trail front bumper but I can't find any write ups on it (I have already tried the search function). I assume I'm going to need to remove and relocate the fog lights.

Has anybody actually done this conversion? If so how did it affect your parking sensor?

I'm a little hesitant on tackling this job without a write up so if I can't find one I might just end up painting or wrapping my chrome in black.
