Snooperstyle kudos to you for taking on this project!!! I would never have the balls to do it alone :clap2:
You'd have to swap quite a lot to make it work (headlights, bumpers). It isn't worth the hassle with the '14, IMO. I'd just vinyl wrap your overfenders and rear bumper (at the contour where the "bumper" begins on the skin). I don't know how you make the transition from the front overfender to the bumper look very good, though.
Well took your advise and came home today with a Brilliant White TE Premium! Looking forward to projects ahead, possibly including painting/plastdiping black the flares / silver chin.If you like the flat black trim, you can always buy a 14 and then just paint the flares flat black, or plastidip. I would buy the 14 TE if I were you.
Thanks for the feedback. What do you all think of the TE having changed to color-keyed bumpers and overfenders, and the silver/chrome accents on bumpers, roof racks etc? With the change in look, trying to decide if I should go with a TE 14 off the lot (whose look I think I can get used to), or to search for a used 10-13 with the black trim that I've always been a fan of.

I have a 2016 Limited 4x4. I'm wanting to put some good rock sliders on it but I keep being told that I need to trim my rocker trim for this to work. I don't really want to start hacking up parts of my brand new truck. if I could remove the trim and replace it with the "Trail" trim pieces I think that would be better. Is this possible? Has anyone done this? Do you know which parts I would need to order for this? I'm a 4Runner nube this is my first 4x4 truck. I really love this truck just want to add some armor to it for protection.
Thank you so much for any help you can provide!
