Temperature Display on Center Console

I owned a 2004 SR5 v6 4runner previously and it used to display the outside temp on the bottom right hand corner of the center console screen. The top left would cycle through the normal mpg, speed, miles remaining while using the mode button. I now have a 2006 Limited v8 and my temperature will not display in the bottom right, nothing shows up there. When I use the mode button to cycle through outside temperate is an option to be displayed on the top left in the same location where mpg, avg speed and miles remaining are displayed. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? I did a quick search but couldnt find anything.

Not positive, but I believe that is a difference in the Limited due to the dual climate control system....

Folsom is right. The limited loses that capability. I bought an SR5/Sport hvac panel and use that because I love me my temp on the bottom right with miles to go on top left. I also swapped the center console itself because I went with another radio, and I prefer the sport graphite console over the silver. But regardless, that let me plug in the SR5/sport console with no fitment issues. If you’re keeping everything else, no worries, you can swap out the internals with your console. That way you can buy one on eBay with some scratches for a discount. All you need is about 30mins and a small Phillips screwdriver.

Do you have nav? If you have the JBL nav, an SR5/sport panel will fit directly. Plug works no problem. Just make sure you get an 06+ one. There’s a difference with wiring after 2005

My 2004 Limited is the same way, you have to cycle through the modes, MPG, averrage speed, remaining miles on gas level, etc. to get the outside temperture reading all on the left side.
