I just jumped from on ramp to on ramp and made adjustments. Getting off the highway is much safer.
I live in the boondocks haha the closest thing I have to a ramp around here is a corn field.

so I've been trying to connect to my 7th injector so i can start tuning but my computer never connects, it will always say its starting to install it but then just quits unexpectedly. does anyone know what my problem could be? I'm using a serial cable to usb cord that i bought from radio shack, i have the r4 software open, and installed on a windows 8 pc. would it be the cable I'm using?
Well the tuning mayhem has officially begun! I hadn't realized that I have a narrow band o2 on my Runner which meant all of the tune I built earlier this week is essentially useless, and the ECU will just trim it out. I started on the new tune last night and quickly realized that if I am going to road tune I will need a logging software for OBD2 so that I can log my fuel trims. I don't have anyone around for live tuning so I have to stop after every pull and make adjustments on the side of the road, which i have found is pretty dangerous. I picked up a OBD2 USB scanner from Amazon today that has logging capability so hope fully I will be able to just do a couple pulls go home and modify the tune in the drive way. Here is the cable I got, I will let you guys know how it goes:

So I picked it up. $500 for all this...
Serial number on it is 000598 and the boost gauge has 98 on the back of it so I'm assuming this unit is quite old. PO said the unit made good boost when he removed it but I think a rebuild is in order before I install on my truck.
I have a few question. Some of them are noobish but first time I have dealt with a supercharger...
PO said he removed the bolt to the right and used it on his manifold. Is this a special bolt or is it easy to track down?
What is this elbow thing? If I grab and wiggle it will move a little and there was some dirty oil surrounding it before I cleaned it up..
From what I can see everything inside is covered by a film of oil. I guess this is why a catch can is advised? How should I go about cleaning this out?
Here are all the parts that he had. Anything that is missing that I will have to track down for install? The part list on the front page is for the second gen so cant go off of that. Also the install guide PDF for thr 1st gen has no part listing plus bad pictures.
Thanks for the help,
Mason
Anyone know where I can get an IAC check valve? I had one that came with my S/C...but I've missed placed it in my shop and can't seem to find it anywhere!! I believe this is the last piece I'm going to need for my install.
Thanks in advance for any and all help...

So, no one on the forum seemed willing to part with their old stock pulley...
I'm getting about 8-8.5 psi ( I know that, because I finally installed my boost gauge).
Ok... I'm running out of ideas. Trying to get the nut off of the supercharger pulley but the thing is on there really tight. I tried heat, oil, oil filter belts, but it's stuck on there really good. Problem is I can't hold the pulley tight enough to torque the nut off. Even used rubbing alcohol to clean the rubber and metal surfaces for extra grip to no avail.
I do not have an impact wrench or access to one, but not sure that would help since I can't hold the pulley still.

Just saw your post, but it looks like you put a hole in the pulley or something? I have to re-use my pulley again though.
Couldn't have waited? I installed my 2.2 a couple weeks ago. Haha.
How are you getting 8? I'm only reaching 5. And 6 when my 7th injector sprays.

Keep the belt on it. Wedge something soft I between the pilot and belt (don't want to brake the belt or cause a tear.)
Use a rag and wrap it around the pulley with a death grip.
Be expensive and get an impact or have a shop just brake it loose for you then hand tighten it back on. Then go home and change it.
My stock pokey needed pullers to take it off (even heating the thing). But the urd aluminum one slid right on perfect fit.

finally was able to pull my map for my 7th injector. If anyone needs it just pm me your e-mail and i'll get it sent out.
It was dyno tuned at wot, and i have tinkered with it some for daily driving.
It runs pretty rich from 2000-3000 rpm, but does not run lean at any point that i have noticed.
Specs of my 4runner when tuned...
Elevation: Sea level (but seems to be pretty consistent even at higher elevations)
trd 2nd gen supercharger
2.2" pulley
urd 7th injector
trd exhaust (no headers)
deckplate, isr, and "elbow" mod
