Like shoots said, change the over pressure down a bit, I think I'm also 1. From what I'm experiencing/feeling/seeing/reading the only way to answer that is to drive it however you drive it and see if it works for you. Eveyone drives differently and expects different things. Also the Air/Fuel Ratio gauge is the only way to be absolutely sure you're safe and all that.

Flat answer: I added 10% more fuel across the board, and also have it adding fuel in the lower boost/lower rpm ranges than the standard set up. I did the same with timing, based solely on feel and audible ping.

Now I have an AFR gauge so I can be more accurate and it turns out I can add even more fuel. I have a different manual trans from an older generation and 4.88 gears factory in the back so that affects the entire feel and torque load for me. No smaller pulley but run premium fuel, bigger fuel pump, the spark plugs swapped to whatever gadget sent and K&N intake despite Gadgets disdain.
Driving it is the only way to tell in the end

So what is 'safe' at ratio. Is there a general guide to this question?

TRD SC Parts Price Fluctuations

Hey Fellas - just a heads up: I've been keeping an eye on a few TRD SC parts for my own project, and recently noticed some major pricing fluctuations on the nosecone kit, dynamic tensioner, and TB "O" gasket. Not sure what the deal is...

Not sure but my cost n them has gone up as well to a rediculous 30 bucks.

A lot of people seem to like 11.8 AFR. I don't even get to 5 PSI boost cuz I don't wanna put another engine in and it's a junkyard one to start with. I drive at what appears to be a conservative pace. It'll never be a race car. The way I see it is it's better to have less advanced (more retarded) timing--with the downside of less overall power--and have more fuel than not enough--with the eventual downside of burning up a Cat, but would take a lot of constant overly rich mixture.

These websites address this exact system and have libraries of info

so im back curious to see how and were you guys mounted your URD boxes in the cabin? i wanted to mount mine in the passenger side kick panel like in urds install guide but i have a ABS box there in the kick panel. did any of you guys relocated this module or mount elsewhere? just trying to get some ideas.

Lol, good to see those with more experience running into the same issues I have/had. I tried to move that abs box but could not. The urd box layed on the floor for a few months until I just mounted to with a few screws the the passenger console kick area. Nothe in the way and easyou to access. Not as clean as othersoon aim for but I can always movery it in the future. Like where you mount yours. I did not want to take up glove box space.

I had enough room to mount under the center console with the plug facing into the passenger side. all I have to do is pull the side panel back and plug in. Works good for me.

Mines in my glove box, easy to tune that way.

Mine is also in my glove box.

If I were to do it again I'd mount it up behind where the vent ducting crosses through the dash. For tuning I'd just leave my serial cable installed, and route it into either the glove box or the center console.

what spark plugs are you guys running? i do not like the single ground plugs(believe they are the reason for my hard starting) that the urd 7th comes with. whats my next best option?

im running denso ik22 plugs, no hard starting problems.

see what others say and maybe its your truck. just see what others have to say.

Did you fix your pulley? Was this the cause of your frayed belt? We have almost the same set-up and just was curious the cause of the frayed belt? Is that a DC altenater??

as far as this i am pretty sure it is the pulley that is to blames since the other side of the belt show no damage. i will know once i get the truck back from the mechanic. i just havent had time to do the work myself with a child and a newborn to care for. as far as the Alternator yes it is a DC alt.

currently i am running the IK22 NGKs that everyone recommends and that come with the URD 7th Kit. i bought these plugs when i first put the blower on before i bought the 7th kit. i am intrigued by these plugs and have talked to a few here about them as well. might be worth a try.

super question!

I have the opportunity to buy a 00 yrs supercharged limited with 200. Miles it runs great but if you floor it it falls on it face.owner has 2.1 pully on it and meth.it hit 15 lbs of boost I think it's to much if you just slowly role on it it will go to red line but not if you mash it.also it feels as the trans is sloping what do you think guys I really want it.
