There's a plastic clip underneath my rear fold down seat thats broken. Which is concerning because my kids car seat sits on top of the rear seat. I can't find this plastic clip anywhere. I'm not even sure if I'm using the correct terminology buts it's not in the operators manual, its not in the maintenance manual and I can't find it on rock auto please help

Is this a 3rd gen? I could only imagine that's a tether for forward facing car seats.

That's just the pull tab to lift the seat. I went out to get a picture and promptly broke mine.

I was hoping someone could help with an issue I'm having. I have a 2002 t4r sr5 and it's had a bad bank 1 sensor 1 that has thrown me a cel for quite a while. Just yesterday I started it up but the cel shut off and it stated idling really low and rough (around 500 rpm) I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and when I started it up the cel came back for the bad sensor and started driving fine like before. Fast forward to this morning and it started without the cel and was running rough once again sensor has been disconnected for a year and I haven't messed with it recently any ideas would be great thank you!

What's the code? If you have the upstream oxygen sensor unplugged then the engine doesn't have any way to monitor/adjust fuel trims.

I can't remember what the code was but I messed the wire harness up when I tried replacing the sensor so I've been waiting to fix the wires but it's been running fine for over a year like that. It just started doing the rough idle yesterday

Looks like Seat Frame Bracket (Rear) but for $70 I'll stick with pulling on the loop that remains after I broke mine.

EDIT: In fact, that's how I've been pulling up the rear driver side seat for the past decade. I'd forgotten about breaking that piece years ago.

It's difficult to say based on pictures. I would hit the mount with a decent sized hammer to test the integrity

Bonjour. Fellow NOVA owner here. I will say this does look pretty rough, but I agree with Bad Luck. See what happens when you hit it. My truck didn't spend most of it's life up here, but I've been up here the past couple of years. You know they salt these roads when it gets cold and the idea of a single drop of snow.

My 4runner is at the body shop and I requested to see if they could get a sport hood for me. They said yes, but it has been already been delayed 2 or 3 times and I'm going 2 months without my truck (thankfully I have another car). But this is getting insane.

So I called to ask if they could just get me a standard hood until the sport hood finally arrives and they said it would take about 2 days. I am debating doing this just to get my truck back until the sport hood arrives, then going to pick that up once it arrives. But then I have no use for the standard hood. I search CL and eBay and OfferUp but I don't see many for sale for when I want to sell my regular hood. Do you guys think I should do it? Any advice on where I can sell my standard hood (which will be very lightly used) once my sport hood comes in?

TL;DR Advice/suggestions where I can sell my (very lightly used) hood once I get my sport hood? I am in DFW and CL/eBay/OfferUp do not look very promising.

Hello - I think I made a dumb mistake and had a question pertaining to it. I have a bone stock (heresy, I know) unlifted 1999 4runner 4WD MT and the shocks are OEM with 158k miles. I do not ever plan to lift or modify the vehicle outside of the stock specs. I did some research and thought the Bilstein 5100's would be a suitable replacement given this is no longer a daily driver and it is used on overland trips on rough forest service roads deep in the Montana/Idaho backcountry.

After ordering the 5100's thinking I would be fine leaving them in the stock setting I read this on Bilsteins academy site, "The B8 5100 ride height adjustable shock should only be used for those looking to level the truck, if they want to maintain stock height they should use the B6 4600. The B6 4600 will always ride better at stock height vs. the B8 5100 ride height adjustable set at stock height. The B8 5100 ride height adjustable has been tuned for a preloaded coil spring".

So I blew it, but I don't want to incur the prohibitive return shipping costs. Do you think the 5100's still be workable for the use case I presented. Though I will be using it mainly on dirt , it always has to be driven on pavement to get there. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

5100's will be firmer than 4600's which are firmer than OEM. If you are wanting to maintain stock height and ride quality OEM is going to give you the best results.

Pulled the codes earlier and it was a p1135. On my way to go pull the codes the cel wasn't on and it was running rough until about halfway there the cel popped on and I immediately felt a boost in power as if it was holding itself back when the cel was off

My 99 is getting hot while idling. It doesn't happen while driving and if I shift to neutral or P and bring the rpms up then the temperature goes back down pretty quickly.

This sounded to me exactly like a faulty fan clutch but after replacing it the problem persists. The radiator was also replaced less than a year ago. The rig has 235k miles and the timing belt and water pump was done at ~170k.

99 4runner 3.4 TRD supercharged with URD 7th injector and cooler thermostat from URD.

It was happening rarely a couple months ago but it's getting much more frequent, almost every time the truck idles.

Yeah, that's your upstream/bank 1 sensor 1/ air/fuel ratio sensor. The more expensive one, lol. That part number I listed is the one you'd want. Don't go with anything except OEM/Denso.

Potentially how much longer is the wait time going to be for the sport hood to arrive? If you have other means of transportation, I wouldn't be too worried about it and would save my money by not buying a regular hood also. Just wait it out, the wait should be worth it and you have other reliable transportation.

The pull tab part number 71370-35010-E0. . This is oak color.
