Hello, my name is Johnny and this is my 1997 4runner sr5 5 speed with 115k.

-tundra 10 spokes plastidipped with 255x75r17 km1
-tundra big brake ugrade
-Fox 2.5 remote reservoir coil overs (550#) front
-ome 905 with bilstien 5100 rear
-new lbj, new OTR
-e-locker retrofit, swap to 4.30's from 4:10's (current project)

-BAMF sliders with kickouts black rustoleum bed liner
-hitch flip

-Recaro SRD seat
-infinity basslink
-shitty head unit and ok door speakers (previous owners)

I bought the old girl one year ago from some cholo's in the ghetto. (had 20's on it when i bought it) I think its location(ghetto) scared away a good number of prospective owners. It belonged to a Gentleman that died, so it sat for couple years before the widow sold it. (there were no bullet holes or blood so I dont think he died(/murdered?) in my truck) I managed to grab this for 4500 bucks with 105k on her.

When I bought her I originally thought I wanted a mild wheeler/expo rig. well since most of my friends that wheel with have jeeps, I've slowly started to move towards building a rock crawler.

Next year 35's and more lift are in order (turn up the C/O+superflex's) and its either going to get a supercharged or 1uz-fe swap.

yup,

Johnny

Very nice truck! I'm wondering where you go the bracket from to mount your Recaro srd seats in this truck? Im thinking of doing the same thing.

Im sorry for the late reply, but if you have not found out by now, there is only one company making seat brackets and thats Wedge engineering.

One thing I learned was that Recaro makes two types of sliders

height adjustable

Non height adjustable

Get the height adjustable ones. I already had the non adjustable sliders so I ordered the appropriate ones from wedge. They were way to low, my eyes were level with the hood, great for a race car, not so great for a truck. (I'm 5'10")

I actually made it up a little further, but I had no locker then. It's somewhere near bear Valley reservoir.

Right out of the staging area on the fordyce creek trail this is the hill that you are faced with as soon as you leave the parking lot.
