As [MENTION=73851]007Tacoma[/MENTION] said, they are intended to hold the jack front/back... I've used the mounts to hold the jack in a few different positions on my full length rack (and even in the bed channels of my Tundra), but now on the 4Runner it lives on the rear bumper.

Also, I hope the 42" works well for whatever your need is. After the first hands on class time with my 48", I got home and ordered the 60"

I know that the 48” seems to be the most popular, but, that did not fit my layout as well as the 42”. It was obvious that the mount was intended to be used longitudinally once I got it up there. Just seems that they would/could have an adapter to mount it transverse to that, especially with their wide bar. I’ve got some good ideas that will maintain rigidity and my placement. And yes, I can probably try rotating the mount 90 degrees to line up with the slot, Although, I’m not as comfortable with the fore-aft stresses on the bolts in that position with the moment exerted by the weight of the jack.

How are you attaching the Rollpax mounts to the LFD bars? I've never considered that option but it looks pretty slick.

Something like this bracket shown attached fore-aft in two places with the bottom of the bracket drilled to accept the RollpaX mount. Attached/bolted to the first and second bars, but thicker and the Mounts shown that came with the RollpaX mounted to the bottom of the bracket with longer bolts/lock washers than what came with the flat mount option. There is a tubular mount option also. Edit: Note; the flat mounts that come with the RollpaX can be mounted directly to a standard size or wide bar with the adapter plate that comes with the RollpaX. I was just running out of room and needed the front bar for the weight of the jack. See adapter pic.

Rotated the mounts at approximately 45 degrees and moved them in to the 3rd row of slots that are a little longer than the first two sets of slots. This needs to be done for two reasons. One, I am going to run a fine thread hex head bolt in either 3/8-20 or 5/16-20 rather than the 1/4-28 button head bolt. 5/16 and 3/8 diameter fasteners do not fit in the first two rows of slots at an angle because the slot is not quite long enough. See pic. Second reason is in order to clear the Pitman assembly and lower handle clip they needed to move inward to the longer third row of slots. Another issue is that I have to have the handle in front for the clearance needed to remove the RollpaX and the Jack will not sit flush if loaded from the drivers side as the two large pins contact the crossbar first. If loaded from the passenger side, no problem. Mounts should be at least a 1/4” higher to add versatility to the mounting arrangement. Maybe I will do some simple lock wiring with the quick release knobs.

You may want to get another 2 pieces of metal to mount the hi-lift down lower. I almost did this before I moved my hi-lift to the LFD Rear Bumper.

I am going to be doing something similar with my solar panels soon.

So today I was doing some cleaning and I noticed that the front crossbar with integrated fairing did some scratching on the roof, even if with the provided trim installed.

Did anyone else experience a similar issue? Tomorrow I will pull the crossbar down and take a better look.

I inspected mine a few weeks ago when someone made a similar comment. I haven't had any issues with rubbing the paint.

I took the rack down and sadly my roof did get damaged.
There are 2 scratches where the paint is totally gone while other other areas where the paint looks a bit faded.

I have to say I'm very upset about this, the rack has been up for about 3 months only. I'm just happy I caught this in time before having a more severe damage.

Yes that is. That part doesn't usually contact, it should be on the bulb only.

That's not good. I have to ask, and I mean no offense: Did you use the spacers under the roof rack rails? Do you have more pics of the entire setup showing the rails and everything setup on the roof? I've seen the fairing close, but I've never seen them touch the paint...

I have a feeling it is out of spec, but will confirm when we get it back.

LFD will take care of it, no question on that! On another note, I installed the overland bars that LFD shipped to me no cost because of all the rust issues I was having with my rack and the crossbars are legit. I like how easy it was mounting my RTT and having full access to the roof. I did push through one of the retaining brackets through and had to pull down the headliner during installation, but these are definitely a better option than running a full rack that is just going to get covered.

I am looking for crossbars for my 2013 TE but their site only says they fit 2014 and up?

Sorry for the lag...did you try contacting them? They may not make them anymore due to low quantity. However, I wouldnt be surprised if they had some lying around or make a small batch to sell again.

I was excited at first they thought they had a few left but turned out their inventory was off. I mean what can really be that different? Has to attaché the same think just the crossbars length would have to be slightly adjustable since the TE rails are not = parallel

Is there a video on installing the side rails? Exactly how many more cross bars do I need? I'd like to add at least 2 of the wide cross bars.

I'm not in a hurry but what is the lead time? I note lots of things are showing back order.
