THe vehicle you regret selling/trading the most?

A loooooong time ago (like 1967) I had a 61 Porsche 1600 Super convertible. It was one of the "bathtub" porsches. It had some rust issues my Dad and I repaired. I drove it for about 2 years before I was hit from behind. The car was totaled. I really loved that car. And yes, it cornered like it was on rails!

I miss this bike everyday. Ohlins ttx rear shock, ohlins cartridges in the front, power commander, quick shifter, ignition module and there was so much more. It was clean and fast as hell, I could take liter bikes all day and it was a monster on the track. I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it.

I traded it in for the 4Runner. Don't get me wrong, I love my T4R, but this thing was awesome. My fiancee needed something to drive to and from school and would have absolutely destroyed it driving through the city on a daily basis (not to mention she couldn't get the hang of driving a stick). It also kicked the crap out of my 4Runner in all but the deepest of snow. If I was going to do it all again, I would have probably paid cash for an older beat up runner.

Ugh...the one I regret the most? It has to be my 67 GTO. I bought this car in 1985 when I was 17. It was a 67 GTO with a 400, 4 speed, and a 3:90 rear. I street raced the snot out of it and lost only one time to a 440 Mopar.

Being young and dumb I got myself into some trouble street racing and the GTO had to be sold. The good news is that the money from my GTO went towards my 68 Firebird. My parents went for the Firebird because it was a 6 cyl but it didn't stay that way for long. Within 6 months the 6 cyl came out and in went a 455 and I had a new street racer....this time I just didn't get caught! At least I learned my lesson in selling the GTO because I've held onto the Firebird since I got it in 1986.

My wife's 1998 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer.

It had 185,000 miles on it and still ran great. We put over a 100K on it ourselves and it was great for hauling kids and other crap around town. For some reason we decided that it was time to replace it so we got an 05 Z71 Tahoe.

This is the vehicle I regret selling second most. We replaced that with a BMW 325i for better gas mileage and didn't see any sense in having two gas sucking SUV's. (Tahoe and 4Runner)

This plan has now backfired on me because my wife is wearing me out about the BMW being too small to drag small kids around in. I can't really argue with that because compared to driving big SUV's, the BMW is tiny. I've tried to swap with her but she hates my 4runner. Crazy woman!
So now I'm in a situation where I may have to sell the 4Runner, drive the BMW, and get here another Tahoe. I guess there are worse fates than having to drive a BMW 5spd back and forth to work but I really don't want to get rid of the 4Runner.
Long story short, my vehicle sale regrets might cost me 4Runner which I had planned on keeping for many years.

My '06 Chevy Equinox LT. Lame, I know, I would never buy another because it had a crud load of problems for a brand new car, that's why it only lasted me a little over a year. It was the first car I got to pick out though, it was a brand new model and top of the line. I regretted selling it for weeks and weeks after getting rid of it, it was my baby.

Selling my 98 4R to insurance after it was totaled. They have me a little over 6 grand for it, but I could have made a transformation like COB did & had a great trail rig. Miss her everyday. This is the last time I saw her. She was a SR5 2Wd V6 with 136k.

Stage 2 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi with custom BMW paint and a bunch of extras and less then 50,000 miles when I got it. A little over 320 at the wheels. Can't explain the feeling of getting sideways in an AWD car or getting loose in between gear shifts. So much fun, but not practical.

I miss the my '93 Mitsu Eclipse GSX but it fed on my wallet like a newborn on a teet. Over 400 at the crank and ran mid 12s at sea level (13.0s at 5800ft,stock was 15.7 at this altitude)
It was one hell of a ride launching it at 6000rpm and was equally fun on a road course going sideways through corners.

And I bought it stock with 23k on the odo so it was a labor of love over.

I miss my 2010 Maxima, it was fully loaded sport package with DVD bypass, which would turn the speed senser off and this thing would fly, but then marry and had to choose between maxima and my beloved 4runner.

Well aside from my FJ which I originally started the thread about, I also regretted trading my 2010 4R TE big time! Luckily I got a good deal on a 2012 TE and am happy to be back in the saddle. During the summer I had an FR-S which was fun to drive, but it had a lot of issues (many have) and wasn't practical for winter at all. I'd love one for a summer car though!
