I often regret getting rid of my 2000 Explorer V8 AWD. Hugely reliable but sold before I go do any go fast mods to it.

I almost went for a 2014 FJ Team Trails instead of the 4Runner, I loved that FJ so much. It would be cool to be driving around in an "old" FJ 25 years from now, when there aren't many of them left on the road. Then I realized:
1. I probably won't be around, 25 years from now, LOL!
2. The Runner is a more practical vehicle for me at this point.

But I still miss the old "Purple Plum"!

2005 TJ - "Hobbes". Bought it new, so it wasn't a beater. Had it 3 years, then gas got stupid. Was commuting a ways at the time, so we traded for a commuter car with better mpg. Swear I'll walk before doing that ever again! I immediately hated myself for trading it - even if it was the "best" thing to do at the time.

Picked up a beater 99 TJ later, and while it was ok, it just wasn't the same. It was a money pit, nowhere near as nice, it was abused, and well, it wasn't mine - if that makes sense. Didn't bother me at all to let that one go when the wifey got the G37 vert.

I guess it worked out though... since I gave up the 99 TJ for her car, she gave me free reign on the Grand Cherokee replacement, which brought me here!

In case you're wondering, the economy car was dumped for a RCSB hemi Ram 4x4. I could've gone Yota then, but couldn't find a RCSB 5.7 Tundra where I was at the time.

My 01 Lightning. Had to sell it after my divorce from the 1st wife. Was making 430rwhp531rwtrq when I sold it. Had no problem hitting 170mph and handled better than most cars. At w.o.t. you could hear the blower win for 2-3 blocks on a clear day and with the custom valve body I had in the trans it would lay rubber 10-15ft going into 2nd on the normal radials and hard chirp third...on drag radials it would lay 2-5ft of rubber.
