Thinking of selling/trading in my Runner

I see what all you guys are saying, don't get me wrong. I love my 4Runner but I've always wanted a truck.

As far as buying a Dodge diesel, I've just witnessed two Cummins transmissions have to be replaced on trucks that are in perfect condition-I have no desire to get a Dodge..I've always been a Ford girl.

I might be a girl but I know trucks pretty well, believe it or not.

And my boyfriend's truck is an '03 and has about 95k on it. So we'll see if things start going down hill after 100k

just to put things into perspective, i put my jeep down @ 200K and bought my yota with a 180K........just think about that....dodge/jeep/chrystler... not to good in the longevity department, but if your a person who gets a new truck every 4-5 years i don't see anything wrong with it

it's weird that on the dodge products that the tranny is always a weak point considering they are based of the 727 torque flite design which is a good one,
i had to put a new tranny in my jeep @ 70K , it seems as if they fix that, and i even did the trans service at all of the intervals....ask yourself what average person does that? most people barely change thier oil on time much less ever change trans fluid.....


what ever you get i hope your happy with it and congrats on the new ride, i always get really happy when i get a new truck

I don't know, like I said before I just have the itch for something new. I found an awesome F150 for a decent price but we'll see what happens

Well we have two bikes, about to get a third. I could get a trailer but then I'd have to buy a hitch..and a trailer.

I guess I just have the itch for a new vehicle.

you're not getting 3 bikes into a truck buddy. if you just want a new vehicle, go get it. those powerstrokes are awesome. you don't need to justify it here.

I said nothing about the transmissions in dodge's but cummings built a damn reliable diesel for dodge. It's a shame navi/internat. couldn't get it right with ford.
03 w/95k see he hasn't drivin his much at all. Well hopefully in the last 5k miles something happens silly that he can still have warranty pay for so he wont have to.

But I entertained the Idea of a new Tundra before I decided on a 4runner to put the bikes in the bed and haul around 4wheelers on the trailer.

No worries you could always use the bf's truck!!!

aye, I can fit 2 comfortably/safely in the bed of my old truck. Would I try for 3 or 4. No not really. I'm not a fan of throwing an atv in the bed either... Thats why God built trailers.
