This is happening...Bishops build begins

Here are the "before" alignment specs, sorry for the sideways pic

"After" alignment specs. I asked for max caster as suggested. The tech said this was the best he could do as the adjuster was seized due to corrosion(?) and he was afraid to break it.

It's been pouring here for the last 12+ hours, but here's a daytime pic. Had the opportunity to drive in through very heavy rain and standing water at speeds from 35 to 65 mph and no indication of hydro planing. Did notice the tire music between roughly 50 to 60 mph seems to be more pronounced, but not annoying at all.

I didn't, relax. You never said anything that was wrong. I wasn't trying to make anyone else the main topic of your build thread and I'm sorry you read it that way. I was just mentioning something. Can we be friends now:hug:?

Thanks! When I get home from work I'm going to do the fender liner mod. Hopefully that clears up most of the rubbing for now.

I'm really eyeing the TJM 2" lift kit on toytecs website. For what I plan on using my rig for it may be perfect. It's between that and OME for me.

The wife asked me last night, "So when can we lift it??" I call that winning!

Lol. Hell yea. Might be buying 285s for my wife's 2013 TE today. It always helps when the women support our addictions.
 
Little update. I did the fender liner mod today with help from this forum. I'd like to buy whoever thought of that a beer:cheers:

It was very simple and took care of 95% of the rubbing. Still getting a touch of rubbing only in reverse at full lock. I'm going to leave the mudflaps in place for now. Headed up to a cabin in Hocking Hills tomorrow so hopefully I'll get it a little dirty.
 
Just got back from a weekend of hiking with the family. Put another 500 or so miles on the new tires on highway and country roads and still loving them. As I side note, as others have mentioned I checked my speedo vs two different gps based ones and it seems to be spot on with the 285s :noidea:

In the U.S., manufacturers voluntarily follow the standard set by the Society of Automotive Engineers, J1226.
They do have standards and it is + or - a percentage. Around 2%. There are exceptions for temperature variances and alternator current variations.

Yea, I've noticed over the years that all my Toyotas are a cpl miles under the actual Speedo reading
