Had a great time out there this year. Met up with UnJeep and his friends who were nice enough to let me hang out and go wheeling with them. EVEN THOUGH they were all Jeep owners 
(Well other than UnJeep)
I put up a little video of UnJeep and myself "Taking the road less traveled".

Lots of A-Trac action in that video, and after the first failure at the top I turned the locker on. What eventually got me over the top though was using less of the gas pedal, letting the tires work their way on the loose gravel rather than flinging it out of the way as I was doing initially.
Saw several other 4runners and other Toyotas out there.
I picked up some nice discounted LED bling for the truggy, which I really wish I had finished before the event, it would have been a nice trial by fire for it
The weather was "interesting" but nearly as dire as predicted, until sat night when it really did get up to 35+ MPH. Enough to actually blow the sand grains around like gritty snowflakes. I stayed till the end of the raffle and then blasted back home so could use sunday to work on the truggy before going back to work

The event was a little much for us. As we had 6 kids that were fairly young. We opted to head to Arroyo Saldo campsite where it was much easier for us to handle the kids and more fun for them. We ending up doing Calcite mine and the slot to Borrego sink wash.

Yes actually I do have it.
probably not as impressive from my angle and distance as it would have been from the front, but it is a little shocking how quickly you flip down the other side of the hill

Checked the training grounds this weekend. Didn’t hang out around truckhaven last weekend because of the kids.
That can be a gnarly obstacle. I watched so many people get caught by the shredded tire on the left side or that boulder inside the tire (behind your rear passenger tire).Checked the training grounds this weekend. Didn’t hang out around truckhaven last weekend because of the kids.

Yea my brother in his trail got hung up on the tire. Needed just a little more clearance
