I got this from Uni Filter Australia for my TJM snorkel. It's not for day to day use, but in a heavy dust/snow condition you just slip it on. I wish they had a black version like they offer with all of the other pre filters, but like I said its not for day to day driving so...
4x4 Pre-Cleaners
Has anyone just used a intermediate pipe and extended it to the inside of their 4Runner? That way you wouldn’t have a external tube to look at or get whacked off on the trail. Another benefit would be cool cabin clean air entering your engine (a real tricked out CAI).
A lot of guys use 3M mounting tape of various types. 3M has a moulding tape you can buy from pretty much any auto parts store. Some guys use a two step 3M product with good success. It depends on where you live and the conditions you’ll expose you’re rig to. I wasn’t comfortable with tape holding my snorkel (different brand) so I drilled. Scary at first but take your time. It was worth doing it right the first time for me.

Really late to this party but just bought one and will be installing the snorkel after Thanksgiving.
Anyone else have actual hands / real world reviews on this thing ???
I love it. It fits like a glove and looks clean. I do a lot of desert driving and it keeps my air filter clean. I never found any water in my airbox, but I do find a lot of bugs, butterflies and dragon flies.
Did you completely seal your airbox ??? I mean you sealed up the water drainage holes in the bottom of the air box ???
I am absolutely in love with this snorkel compared to "SAFARI" slapped all down the side like a ridiculous advert!
I have read this whole thread and think this is a VAST improvement over the leech look but the head causes concerns as it actually seems to cup the water splashing up the windshield RIGHT INTO THE INTAKE TUBING?!?! And on top of that the dual openings are far larger than a traditional style thus allowing even more water exposure.
Can someone please explain how that DOESNT occur or is puddle splashing just off the menu?
It'd be nice if they made interchangeable heads. FTIW
There’s no doubt this is the best looking snorkel out there, but the design concerns with the head, especially for those of us who see snow, made it untenable for me.
I went with a Dobinson snorkel which is less obtrusive than the safari just so I can spin the head in the snow. I still can’t get over how good this one looks. I just wish the head wasn’t an issue.

I’m pretty shocked to hear that it didn’t give you any issues. I researched heavily and decided against it because of the clogging with snow issue. I’m disappointed if I was mislead because I would have much rather went this route from a looks standpoint over any other option.
