TMAC 110's Build Thread

I think it was like $40? It definitely wasn't too much! haha and Nate over at blazeland was awesome with his customer service and everything

This is the first time I've seen the idler arm brace... what's the point it it? what does it do?

Also, your truck is KILLER! Basically exactly where I want to go with mine! You and Robmills72 are my heroes! lol

When I bought my coils for my lift, the kid that I bought them from had mentioned that if I was planning on running BJ spacers in the front to match the rear lift that I should fabricate or look into buying a brace to keep the idler arm from bending because there is so much extra stress applied to it when the bj spacers are installed. because of all of the extra stress, the point of it is just to keep the arm from bending or breaking when you are wheeling. I did some looking around and saw that a few places used to make them but were now out of business and then found them at blaze land.

And thanks you! haha its tough to build on a college kid budget but I try and throw what I can into it so I can have some fun! haha

Ahhhh, ok. Is that also why 4crawler offers the upgraded idler arm bushing? Because it takes extra abuse after the BJ spacers are installed?

yeah I imagine that's what they're for... I just don't really see a point to those though considering they just make don't wear out like the plastic ones do and its not really worth it to me on a part that only costs $30 dollars to replace! haha the brace on the other hand is definitely worth it! I'd rather not bend or break one on the trail!

Moab videos!!!!!

Alright well I kinda slacked big time on getting pics up from my trip out to Moab at the end of last month. This morning my friend that I was out there with posted his gopro edits from the trip though! The first one is kind of a teaser of the whole trip and then there are longer ones from each of the big trails that we did! There is quite a bit of video of the jeeps that I was with but I'm in there in a few places! haha hope y'all enjoy!

Moab stuff looks good. You'll have to come with our group next time, we have less jeeps :D

Hell yeah man! I wanna get out there again!!! The group that I went is considering goin again in the fall though so I may be able to get out there sooner rather than later!

Shocks

Hi, I love the look of your 4runner, I just bought the LC coils and the BJ spacer from 4crawler. What size shocks do I buy for the front and the rear? Do I get factory front replacements even with BJ spacer lift and LC shocks for rear? Thanks for motivating me to spend money!!

I don't remember the exact size of the shocks that I bought for it but the part numbers from skyjacker were #8024 and #8052. The shorter ones were for the front and the longer for the rear. Thanks for the compliments! haha it's nice and pricy but way too much fun! Just wait till you decide you want to SAS yours... that's what I'm saving up for at the moment

shocks

Thanks, I am also following right behind you with air intake and throttle body spacer, Would you recommend wheel spacer to give it a wider more aggressive looking stance?

I'm not personally running wheel spacers but depending on the wheels that you go with, you may need to so it clears the upper control arms in the front. If you do end up getting some make sure you get the higher quality like spidertrax from toytec.

Not much but still an update!

Well, I've kinda been slacking on building and been out playing instead for the past few months (when I get the chance to), but I finally have an update even though it really isn't much!

The switch that came with my light bar finally took a crap and stopped working, so I decided to upgrade and bought a rocker switch from OTRATTW. After getting that, I found another part that I guy on TW was making for first gen tacomas. It was a switch panel that replaces the storage compartment underneath the stereo deck. It fit awesome and was only 20 bucks! I highly recommend looking into getting one if you are looking for an easy way to organize switches.

Here is a link to the original thread on TW:

And his actual website to purchase one:

runner

Do you happen to have the part number for the muffler and the high flow cat? I'm doing lift this weekend! I will post before and after's on here so you can check it out.

lifted!

Ok I got the coils, BJ spacers, and shocks in! still need the panhard drop bracket, the passenger side rear wheel sticks out about 1.5-2 inches. The exhaust looks weird with no rear bumper but Im going to get a magnaflow soon. Also blacked out the front end with bed liner to hold me over until I get a new front bumper.
