I had to get shorter bolts for the fairlead so that the winch would fit. Stock Superwinch bolts were too long to work with the AOR space provided.

There is a car wash by me with a huge parking lot and some heavy duty lights in big concrete pillars so I rigged up on that, spooled out, put on the parking break and slowly winched the line in under steady consistent tension. It's nice and even on the drum.

Got a sweet deal on a TJM recovery kit.... hence the yellow bow shackles.. only on for the photo op, I just carry them in the bag.

Nice start to your build thread man.

There's no such thing as overkill when dealing with grounds. In this case bigger is better. I upgraded all my grounds as soon as I got my rig. Never planned on finishing the Big 3, just the grounds. After running my winch(Engo 12000) and blasting my bad ass stereo system for over a year now, I still see no need to actually complete the Big 3. Grounds are where it's at.

New rear end links from a 2nd gen to replace the stock which are too short for a 3" lift. Not a critical part of Moog will do. Should have done this when I did the lift.

Ram Mount Dash Install & Strong-arm upgrade

Read this on here somewhere and decided to go ahead and give it a shot so I could mount my iPhone 6S somewhere usable without obstructing view. I use Maps & MotionX-GPS for offline for navigating in the back country.
I took a map class once and would like to start getting familiar with maps and compass again... maybe in the spring.

Doesn't move at all on the street. Moves a bit offroad as to be expected but no way is it ever coming off of that mount! Phone is held in super tight!

Rear lift gate, Strongarm with extra opening power upgrade - totally happy with these. They lift the Gobi ladder no problem.

East Portal to Mammoth Gulch to Kingston Peak

This was a fun fall trip up to the big pull out before the trail gets rough to finish Kingston peak. I parked there for awhile and enjoyed the views and then headed back down..

I agree... it's just that have you seen the size of 0 gauge!!! I guess i didn't really think it would be that big in diameter.... I am probably going to use the rest of it to replace the engine ground and call it good.
Next year I would like to go to a higher output alternator and dual battery system so i can put accessories on battery 2. Planning more lighting, fridge and inverter to increase campability!

I have 0 Gauge run through my firewall to a distro block under the drivers seat. 4 gauge from there to feed my 2 amps. I only used 2 gauge to increase my engine and battery grounds though. lol

If your gonna have constant draw a second deep cycle is the way to go. You could charge both with the stock alt but something with more amps would be way happier bringing the deep cycle back up. Running a small solar cell to help keep it closer to topped if would also be needed IMO.

I had a dual set-up in my 88 Van. I basically lived out of that thing for 5 years so having an inverter and fridge was huge. I installed an old school Cole Hersey Solenoid instead of the fancy electronic battery isolator. The new ones are pretty sweet but if they fail your stuck. If the Cole Hersey fails it fails closed so there in no way for the starting battery to be effected. Just my take on a subject you can read about for weeks.
