I think I'm deaf though. That amp is plenty loud for me/us! I don't think I got the the front Infinity speakers to distort. Got the gain set and decided against using the HPF, at least at this point. All buttoned-up...

Doing a test fit on the seat bolts so I can be selective on what bolts I use on each of the holes. One is not going in easily. Anyone know off-hand the thread size on these (I did try a search)? Thinking of tapping that one to clean it up a little...

EDIT/ADD: Feels like it's a M12 x 1.75.

Glad you got it all sorted out man. I've got 125W pushing each channel and I barely got them to distort. They can handle some power. Like way more then they are rated for. Remember, just cause it goers to 40 doesn't mean it always has too. To me amp overhead is just nice to have when you want it. I hardly ever go super loud but when I do it's super loud. lol

I'm still a bit reluctant to put the door panels back-on because of those dang door "clips" at the top - not knowing how many are missing, what they do exactly, and what else I can use instead. I imagine they might just be there to keep the door panel from rattling against the sheet metal up there. Not sure...

The Corbeau Moab driver seat will be installed tomorrow, possibly in the morning. It looks very nice. I'm very much looking-forward to driving it as it has been quite a while. I went to The Home Depot tonight to get some hardware for the seat belt receiver. The Corbeau base has a threaded hole, but that's it. It's 7/16", a rather odd size, so I bought a couple bolts, washers and nuts. Hopefully the test fit goes well and it just drops-in with no modifications needed. That wasn't so on my MINI. Someone here had to cut a little bit of the plastic on the center console to create space for that seat belt receiver bolt head. That was not for a Corbeau seat though...

Pretty eager there Denis, lol.

Paint I think is dry now on the metal 4Runner seat belt receiver brackets I need to install on the Corebeau bases. I painted both, and between coats I got the passenger seat base installed. So far this has been a very smooth install...

Both hopefully will be installed by noon Pacific.

The driver's seat is in, and I'm very happy with the install and the seat itself. First, the aforementioned seat belt buckle receptacle or receiver, painted.

And, on the driver's seat ready to be mounted.

I highly recommend threading the seat bolts first before the seat is installed, then note where each one goes. I have one for each seat that was problematic and needed some attention. Best to do that with the seats out. So, with a little jostling of the seat to get the holes aligned, and bolts strategically tightened, it took all about 10-15 minutes.

The passenger side seat belt receiver is now dry...

I'll get the passenger neat in next, then maybe tackle the rear seat...

Both are installed. That was done early in the afternoon actually, but I didn't get any additional photos. I noticed that in the photos shared earlier, some look almost yellowish. That was due to the flash. They are a nice tan color, mixing-in quite nicely with the various shades of brown in the interior.

They are firm, which I really like. I will go gas-up in a bit as I'm heading into the office tomorrow. I do so once or twice a year when my mgr can make it out here; and he's here this week...

No height adjustment which I'm fine without. There seems to be a bit more headroom with these. They tilt very far back, darn near flat, up against the rear seat cushion.

I put the broken center bezel and everything back together too, except the door panels. I got another center bezel in the mail today that I bought from a member here.

I hope to put-on the Wet Okole rear seat cover tomorrow or the next day.

I was wondering if you ever got one. I managed to get the wrong color and didn't realize it until after it was installed, as it matched the broken one.

I got one alright. In pretty darn good condition, minus some melting at the very top of each vent. The seller believes it was from some air fresheners that were secured there.

So, I decided to re-install my busted one for now, and see what I can do to make the above look a little nicer. Any ideas?

I returned from filling the tank, and I found myself turning-down the music to listen to the Borla a few times. Sounds like a truck now! As some here might remember, I had it installed about a month back, but I drove straight home after that install as I had no turn signals (hazard switch was not connected). Then the seats came-out... In addition to the sound, it seems that it has a bit more giddy-up.

I don't think I mentioned it earlier, but before installing the new seats, I used a carpet cleaner on floor. I had done so before, but did it again as I likely got them somewhat dirty with this most recent project. A nice fresh smell, new seats, and tunes with modern connectivity got the wife's attention, in a good way.

Spent some time tonight parked in the driveway setting-up the HU, date/time, color scheme, theme, splash screens, that type of stuff. The tilt feature is awesome! It even has memory for that too so upon power-up it tilts upward to the desired angle. I got the camera working too. I think for now I'll just stick it somewhere in the back, facing out the rear window. I still have not patched into that reverse wire, but will soon...

The green LED lights I added below the ashtray and the cigarette lighter provide plenty of illumination back to the cupholders, where it was too dark before. I made a cut-out in that cup holder piece for a USB cable that connects to the back of the HU, primarily for Apple CarPlay I believe, which is on my list to learn how to use... While doing that Dremel work, the mail truck arrived with two sleds for the kids. Five more weeks...

I like the look of the top, It definitely modernizes the look of the interior. I like the elimination of the headrest. But at the same time the seat bottoms look unimpressive. I like the idea of the bolt-in aspect that it comes with pre-fabbed rails.

Question is at that price point, was it worth it or would you consider wet okole seat covers on the front over replacement?

Really need to sit in them I suppose. I've sat in a few Corbeaus over the years, including a set in my MINI now. I'm a pretty small guy at 5' 10", 140 pounds. The site has specs for width at the waist and shoulders...

I wanted something firm, and these are much firmer. I can't stand leather, the feel and care needed, and eventual demise, despite appropriate care. Not much looks worse than busted-open leather seats. Even worse for me, I don't like electric controls for moving the seat forwards and back, recline. I can do so faster manually. And, the electric controls eventually struggle and crap-out, then the seat is frozen. So.... with that, given my preferences, I'm very happy with the choice. Dropped 20 pounds too, which I find quite nice as well. I'll try get photos later of both seats installed.

With that, a seat cover on the front seats was not desirable for me. I do have Wet Okole for the rear, that should go on soon...

I cruised to work and back yesterday at 2500 RPM, about 75-80 mph, and the Runner drove like a champ. I detected no drone from the Borla at all. Darn quiet most of the time actually. I detected a bit of rattling in the driver door. One of the benefits of having the door panels off is that one can easily see what's making noise when on the road.

I have some beaten-up Harbor Freight mats that I use in the yard, working on the vehicles, and I decided to cut-off a small piece.

Worked like a charm, not more rattle. I made one for both front doors. The rears are different...

I was in such a rush to get the door panels installed that I forgot to do the vapor barriers. Damn. I did just the front doors, so those will need to come back off tomorrow...

The stock seats are in great shape. The electric adjustments work just fine. I even made two short videos of them operating, as I plan to sell them. Any idea as to what these sell for?.

Hey man, I might be in need of some seats for a Taco. Any chance you held onto these?

Wow, that's strange. I have no ideas on a good fix but maybe some super fine 1000 grit wet sand paper might blend in the rough edges a bit better. I called the yard in MN about my color mis-match, he claims he didn't know there were different wood grain colors/patterns and doesn't have the correct one for my runner. He's offered to sell me the rest of the matching parts but it's money that I really can't spend now and shouldn't have to spend. I think I'm just going to go with the shifter bezel so the differences won't be so obvious.

Yes, for a 2000, it states that the black/white wire is for the antenna trigger:

Pretty much all accounts I've found, it's the blue wire. Even the Metra bag states that the blue wire is for the "power antenna". I was going to start crimping tonight, but I think I will hold-off a little longer...

Put a test light on it...problem solved. I love mine....a great mod.

Just picked-up a Taco? Maybe you've had one all along...

I still have them, sitting behind the MINI in the garage, with a bed sheet draped over them. I'm somewhat shocked about the interest in these! As I had shared with some here over PM, between a neighbor, colleague and a few on this forum, there are like a half dozen folks interested. Not even listed for sale yet...

I will part with them, as we really like the new seats. I took the family out tonight for dinner in the Runner. The first time they have driven in it for like 6 weeks. I put-on the Wet Okoles today for the kids. Everyone was quite happy with the new seats. I'll include some photos at the bottom... Note, none of them commented on Borla at all. It really is not that loud.

Over the next week I'll make some time to clean-up the factory seats for some photos. I had previously made a couple short videos of them operating (electric controls), before removal. I also need to research fair market value on these seats, as I don't know at this time. They are in pretty darn good shape, as can be seen in the first post in this thread. Once I have such an idea, I'll then contact the folks who have shown interest, to see if that remains, and if they feel the pricing is reasonable. I'll let you know as well. I guess it would be about a 4 hour drive for you though...

Was thinking the same... super fine grit sandpaper. I saved some of the busted pieces from my center bezel. I'll experiment with those, sanding and then some form of color to match. For now, I'm still using my broken one. Wife hasn't even noticed as the broken portions are on the driver's side...

At some point, I might even start sourcing all black pieces, for everywhere in the truck. I had read a post stating that the ones breaking are the "wood" types as they are thinner. Not sure if true, but I do know that I was pretty darn careful getting it off, yet it broke...

Agreed. Mine is down all of the time. I put it up sometimes, just because it's almost fun to do so!

The fit of the Wet Okoles was as advertised, like a glove. I first cleaned the factory leather, treated it (leather care) , then wiped them dry, before putting-on the covers.

I have some neoprene wetsuit cleaner/shampoo, for when they get dirty, and that will happen. For the front seats, door panels and all the plastic trim, an old favorite...
