Hard to say just looking at the pic there. You have to remember that transmission fluid is just another oil. The job of that oil is keep the dirt suspended and lubricate things. A real check to know if the oil is bad after changing it is check the viscosity of the old oil and run it through a filter to check how much dirt and metal is in the oil. If the oil does get too hot then it flow too fast through the bearings and not remove the heat or lubricate the bearings. Then you will find some metal in the fluid.
Basically just because the oil looks black does not mean it is bad.
