Towing - ball mount drop?

Picked up a new 2014 SR5 4WD a few weeks ago. I need a new 2" ball mount to pull my utility trailer and hopefully a boat in the near future. Trying to figure out how much drop I need with a new ball mount. Unloaded top of the receiver looks to be right at about 20". I sat in the cargo area (225 lbs) and had one of my kids measure and it dropped to 18 3/4". I have 2" drop ball mount and that is too high for the utility trailer, need something lower.

I don't think I would exceed about 300 lbs tongue weight with either the utility trailer or boat. If the rear sags too much when towing, probably try a set of Timbrens back there. My utility trailer is pretty low and I calculated as much as a 6" drop ball mount, but with more rear sag, 4" might be the way to go. 5" drop might be right on the money, but I don't see many of those.

Anyone have a top of receiver height measurement with a similarly loaded stock T4R?

I have a 2" drop on my mount, but only tow a utility trailer. Seems to work fine. This handy guide gives more detail: https://www.etrailer.com/faq-ballmount.aspx

The etrailer link shows you how to properly measure the drop you need. Drop is dependent on what trailer (or trailers) you have.

We towed a ~2500lb enclosed 6x12 trailer (16" coupler height) with our 2014 4x4 Limited a while back. The OEM ball mount (2" drop) had two issues.
1 - It wouldn't fit into the hitch fully
2 - Even when jacked up all the way, the trailer coupler was too low to mate with the ball mount!

At the time, the suspension had yet to settle, I think the receiver was ~22" high. I just measured ours, it's 20.5" w/o any load. I bough ta 5 1/4" drop ball mount from Lowes/Home Depot (forgot who). Downside is it is quite a bit longer than the OEM mount. 10" hole to hole for the 5 1/4" mount. 6 3/8" hole to hole for the OEM 2" mount. I may end up buying a 4" now that the suspension has settled some.
