Toyota Alarm -- VIP Security System RS3200Plus

I am now planning to purchase this system from Toyota to install in my 2008 V8 4Wd SE. This system includes a glass break sensor. The best price I have seen online is $175.14 at TRDParts4u.com. I have a few questions for anyone who has purchased this system and installed it:

Does anyone have a link to installation instructions for this? -- I have done internet searches but haven't found any. I want to know what I'm getting into.

Is it plug and play? -- does it plug into an existing wiring harness? Or must one tap into the wiring to hook it up?

Any info on the install, comments on the process, even pics, or link to same would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I have this system. came on my camry and I'm not a fan. There's a lot better aftermarket systems out there. One thing I don't like is the freakin loud horn honk. I wish I could get rid of the honk and just have the beep when I lock the car... no such luck. I'm not sure how involved the install is as it did come in the car, but I've heard it's not exactly plug n play.

The glass sensor is simply a microphone. You're supposed to be able to tap on the glass with a key and it'll go off. I never got that to work, yet it would still randomly honk in the middle of the night in the driveway... annoying.

Thanks for that info. I did have the Toyota alarm system option on a 2009 SR5 V6 that I owned prior to my 2008 SE V8. I really liked the system. When it was set off, yes it would honk, which I didn't mind for the purpose. But mine did NOT honk when locking or unlocking the vehicle with the remote. It just fairly unobtrusively beeped, same as my 2008 does with no alarm system. And I owned the car for over a year, and never once had a false alarm. I liked the Toyota system that I had in my 2009, and want to duplicate it on my 2008.
