I have seen this TSB before and this is not the issue. It is definitely in the front end as per the steering twitch and noise thumping over washboard.

Let me ask this. If you let a buddy drive your car or a LADY (no offense ladies), would either of them notice this "issue?" You may just be hyper-sensitive since it's a brand new car and you've dropped a lot of money on it. My 4Runner makes a random clank when I'm backing up with the wheel turned... i've chakled it up to the swaybar as well and have moved on to enjoy the vehicle.

As for the feel of right side braking first.... I'm going to chalk it up to the passenger side spring has a lower spring rate than the driver's side spring. Take a look at the spring diameter. The driver's spring is thicker to compensate for the steering system, steering wheel, actual DRIVER weight, and gas tank.

Thank you for your input! You know, I did consider your thought. Well I did let a buddy and a LADY (wife) drive my 4R. While they were both aware of my concerns, they both indicated that it did not feel "right". Not quite a double blind study, but they both felt it right away and could tell there was something not quite right.

Update from the dealer:
Well they tried to re-position the sway bar bushing with no effect. It really can't move that much anyways. So they drove another 4R TE and did agree that my TE is making an extra and different noise. I wish I was present for this. They have agreed to put new sway bar bushings on the both side when they come in. (from Japan). The shop foreman I have been dealing with is really trying to work with me, which is refreshing and gives me hope that we will get to the bottom of this. He also took a video of the steering wheel twitch and sent it to Toyota Canada to try and get some feedback.

So I am in a holding pattern for a while regarding this. I will update when the new bushings are on.

Do you have a gap where I have put a green circle on the pic?

This bolt should be pretty tight.. I believe 165 lb with a tq wrench. I don't recall a gap here when I reinstalled my lower control arm to the lower ball joint.
