The Derale is not LPD bypass from what I can tell. I'd stick with the B&M's or similar. These sizes/shapes have been proven to work well with our 4Runners, saving you wasted time. Ask me how I know (OK, since you asked, I spent about 3 hours trying to force fit a massive Landcruiser cooler, before throwing in the towel ).

Unless you plan on towing or supercharging, you won't need a massive BTU cooler. Just use what fits best. I went bigger since I have a supercharger and the PO fried the transmission, but since then I've modified the valve body to help with the heat as well.

A note on the push through tabs: for on-road use they are ok as long as they don't hold too much weight. For off-road use they are awful since the constant jolts will start to tear your A/C condensor or radiator.

Good to know. I was going to use them but now may just use brackets. Although I just got my Champion alum rad in the mail today. Fins and supports look pretty beefy so IDK

I'll probably get the 264 since it's bigger and it fits. Only 10 bucks more.

Just to clarify, BFAD's post shows he got 4 extra feet of tubing but the kit's 5 feet should be enough for a passenger side install?

It depends on how you route the hoses. I needed an extra 4-5 feet on top of what was included.

Oh I'm also seeing that most guys are using 3/8" line not 5/16" that it comes with. Maybe the 5/16 is too tight for the toyota hard line fittings. I can get that easily at the local shop. Sweet. I'll post up a thread when I get this all done.

My cooler came with 11/32 hose and it was a pretty snug fit on the radiator barb

My TrueCool came with 3/8" fittings and hose.

Edit: actually 11/32 fittings.
