Great info on the forum. After looking at range of vehicles from crew cab PUs to crossovers, to suvs, I've settled on a 5th gen 4Runner. I've been looking at both used and new. The only issue that has come up from searching and reading on the 5th gens is the transmission 1-2 stutter I think as Toyota calls it. It looks like 2010 and 2011s were included. I'm not as sure about 2012s. And what about 2013s and 2014s, has this issue been fully resolved for 13/14 model years?
I'm just trying to figure out what years, if any, I should maybe stay away from used and whether this issue would possibly impact a new 2014 if I go that route. I would consider a 2011/2012 used to save some $$ off of new, but with a potential trans issue and the high resale value for the 11s and 12s, maybe I'm better off to just go new.
