Transmission Mount

Hey everyone!

1995 4WD V6 Automatic. What is the torque for the large nut in between the left & right rubber mounts.

On the new one the large nut is loose & I have looked everywhere for a torque with no luck and now I'm ready to install it.

Thanks

I looked through the service manual and cant find it either. I do know it should be tight. Its there in case the mount fails, that bolt keeps your transfer case from flopping around. I would make sure it's good and tight. Check on it to make sure it doesn't come loose again.

Hmmmm impact tight? Lol. Id make sure it as tight as you feel comfortable with don't wann over torqe it but still tight enough so it don't move.

You don't torque that, you get a new mount, yours is bad.
That's why you can't find it in the FSM.

Normally I wouldn't second guess or question you Fourwd, you know more about these trucks than I do, but doesn't every bolt and nut on the vehicle have a torque spec? I've never seen one that doesn't even though most people don't torque every one correctly(pain to get out torque wrench for every bolt).

I do agree he might need a new mount.

When I got my new mount, the nut was loose. I tightened it as much as I could with a wrench then put it in place. No problems since.
