Just get a cheap bluetooth ODB plug and use an app with your iPhone. There are actually 2 Trans temp sensors. One for the Tq converter and one post cooler.
Hmmmm. I understand the procedures but don’t understand why? If your rig is sitting in the driveway/garage overnight and you pull the transmission drain plug and get 3 quarts of cold fluid out can’t you just put 3 quarts of cold fluid back in? If you put back in Exactly the same amount why even mess with fluid temperatures?
This is a great idea!! Can you monitor All your temps while driving for instant verification? If I’m working my rig hard I’d like the option to look at all my temps at a glance.
Torque app with bluetooth OBD reader does not show tranny temp.
Yes you can

temp1 is panHey delta whiskey I can’t seem to find the transmission oil temperatures at the pan. All I get is temperature 1 2 3 and one additional that says received oil temperature from ECT? Any advice ?
temp1 is pan
temp 2 is tq
I dont see a temp 3???
Are you iOS or Android? Did you update the firmware on the obdlink MX+ device?
It just pulls what the sensor reads, so I am not sure on the oil temp. I dont even see an oil pressure option to display :noidea:Thank you! I got the tranny figured out, number 3 dropped out when it connected to the vehicle. Only thing I can’t figure now is why my engine oil temperature is so low and I can’t get my oil pressure to read. I was out in stop and go traffic for 90 minuets and the highest I got was 157 Degreed Fahrenheit oil temperature. That seems crazy low to me, any advice? Oil pressures gauge?
