TRD Exhaust - Available in 2020 M.Y.

Short story I bought my wife a 2020 AG TRD Pro and it didn't have the TRD Pro exhaust. My dealer got a new one in and installed last week. My wife said take it off I don't like the noise. I'm in North West Alabama on Smith Lake and will trade with someone with very very low mile stock exhaust + $300.00.



I have all the tools so the swap will be at my home. It needs to be on a weekend. Let me know if you want to make the trade. Aging it needs to be very low miles like under 1000.

Too bad I just swapped mine for TRD last week. Now trying to off load a stock ORP exhaust with 500 miles on it.

I don't smell anything inside the vehicle so I'm sure the Pro exhaust is better.

If you floor it you will smell some, for the most part its gone

To all those asking why I want to trade, yes it's the drone of it that I'm tired of. I can tolerate it fine when I'm by myself, it doesn't sound too bad. But when the 4R is loaded up with people, dogs, and gear every weekend to head to the lake the drone is quite annoying on the highway drive out there.

Has anyone slapped a cheap bullet muffler in to see if it helps with the supposed drone?

The muffler is the primary differentiation between the regular exhaust and TRD. Why not just go custom and save a bunch of money? The TRD is overpriced for what it is. I have it and it's fine, but not exceptional. I'm thinking about adding a Helmholtz resonator to mine. Typically drone isn't caused by the muffler itself, but the sound wave function leading to the muffler - which is why it's heard closer to your seat than the rear of the vehicle. The Helmholtz resonator when placed just passed the Y-pipe is a 1/4 or 1/2 wavelength oscillator, effectively offsetting and canceling the primary sound wave.
