Only affecting 2014 - 2015 4Runners that came through the South East? Even that detail sounds a little ominous. Hard to believe that whatever add-ons were put on were only done incorrectly there?
Whoever goes first in the SET area to get it fixed let us all know!

Update: It has been 3 weeks since the FTS filed a product report with TMC on my issue. The dealer emailed the FTS for an update last week but has not received a response yet. I will try to get a status tomorrow.
I did some research and found the contact information for M. Sweers, Chief Engineer Trucks at Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, Inc. Dropped him a note about the issue. He responded that he is not responsible for this truck, only NA built vehicles, but he will see what he can find when he returns back to the office next week.
Will try to keep all in the loop if I find out anything else.

I have my appointment scheduled for Wednesday morning. I will let you know what I find out.
Finally had the TRD Pro suspension installed on my 2014 TE 4Runner. After about 400 miles, I haven't noticed any clunking sound so I just wanted to put that out there for anyone wondering. The install was done at a Toyota dealership.
I'm still interested in knowing what the outcome of this thread issue and resolution will be. Thanks in advance.

I've been watching this forum for a few weeks and decided to join. After months of wheeling and dealing I finally helped my girlfriend purchase an inferno red 4Runner. Immediately pulling out of the parking lot of the dealership I felt the infamous clunk in the floor on the passenger side. How disappointing to finally get our hands on one of these things and have it be such a pos to drive right from day one. Haven't bothered bringing it in yet because after seeing this thread nothing is gonna get fixed as of now. Anyways after hours of searching the www I found numerous posts about bilstein installs on different vehicles where people were complaining about a clunk immediately after install. The reason for the problem seemed to always be incorrect placement of washers bushings isolators. I wonder if it's something as simple as a screw up like that?

Don't shoot the messenger, but, you didn't feel that on the test drive?
If not, I would have immediately turned around and drove it back to the salesman and or service manager so it could be documented right away!

Haha there was no test drive we drove 300 miles to Maine to get the truck. Just wanted to get home besides the place we purchased it is not where it will be getting fixed anyways. They can document all they want but it isn't gonna fix anything. Someone with half a brain needs to dig in to one of these things and figure out what's wrong it really shouldn't be taking this long!

I would have if there was a test drive or even noticed it on the drive home. Mine didn't show it's ugly self for at least a month. Once the temp dropped below 40 and it started clunking away, it was already too late. Should have another update on Friday.

While annoying, I'm certain most would disagree a clunk would define your TRDP as a POS.

Well I would like to say thank you to the guys posting and keeping other trd pro owners in the loop. If you don't have one with the clunk than you don't know what it's like to drive it. The truck is not a pos but I can tell you it sure drives like one. The point of my post was to maybe throw some ideas out there as to what the problem may be. Thanks to the guys keeping this thread on track.

Mine also did not "clunk" for a couple weeks. Whether or not it was due to the colder temps or something loosened up. Now that it's warmer again I don't notice it as much.

Agree, I have been very vocal about my disappointment about the issue but I wouldn't characterize the ride as POS either. I drove from Long Island to Boston and back last week in the middle of a snow storm and I was really surprised how well the truck behaved and the amount of control I had even at 70MPH+ on wet roads.
This issue would have probably been caught if the upgrades happened in the production lines in Japan and the vehicle went through the same TQM controls that happen onsite. I chose the TRDP since I didn't want to go through doing any suspension mods on my own. I still think that it is the most capable 4runner that you can buy from a dealer new and it is a minor fix from being great.

Have you driven any other T4R's or is it just yours that you feel drives like a POS?
Maybe you have something else going on with the suspension.
There are definately people that have been trying to pinpoint the reason for the "clunk", even by people that don't own a pro model.
Most of us have asked ourselves and others why/how this could be...obviously to no avail as of yet unless TRD/Bilstein tears down a shock and dismisses the notion that the noise is originating from the shock itself or a combination of the coil and the shock or just the coil as it unloads or hits on another component not yet identified....

I have not driven any other trd pro 4runners. My symptoms are identical to what others are saying. An audible suspension clunk that can also be felt in the floor. The colder the temperature the worse it is. After spending 4days driving on really rough unpaved plowed roads in Pittsburg nh with the lowest temp being -32 degrees F it is my opinion that it rides like a pos and it was very unpleasant to drive or be a passenger in. Yesterday made it into the mid 50s and my girlfriend said she barely noticed it.
