Installed my front lift finally. Only to find out that both my cv boots tore.
I also threw on the 01+ taillights.

Lots has been happening to Shelby. I recently put on my old lift, and as a consequence of buying a high-milage car, the CV boots tore. My rear axel is leaking too. So I've decided that I'm just going to replace both axels. Its not as much as I initially thought it was going to be, and I just got my christmas bonus from work:) I still haven't had time to change my clutch, but it will be done by the end of the year. I haven't ordered the axels yet and I haven't decided which ones to buy. Should be ordering it all very soon.

I went to my local Pep-Boys and picked up an Amp Installation Kit:
Everything was there, but the directions were a little hard to understand. Thanks to ChildrenOfBodom for helping clear the confusion. I screwed my amp into the back seat and grounded it to the "cargo hooks". I unscrewed the hook and sanded down the area. (the paint acts as a shield. you need metal to metal for a good ground.)

With the holiday's coming up and both axels being replaced, I wont be doing any major modifications to her for the next couple months. But you know what that means. It's time to enjoy the roads un-paved:)

To-Do List:
-Clutch
-Rear Suspension
-Replace Front/Rear Axels
-Alignment*
-Diff-fluid change
-Tranny fluid change

Looks good. Why did you want to change the rear axles? Those should be fine. You would know if one was bent, especially because the axle seals would leak like crazy.

Made a trip down to Mesa Muffler in Costa Mesa to get my exhaust set up. They did a great job. While I was there, a beautiful 1988 Mustang GT was getting an OEM replacement muffler. This thing was in MINT condition. The owner's father bought the car new, and later passed it down to him. 50,000 miles, 5spd manual. :gun6:

What's with the gray thing? I can't see the 4Runner in those pics.

I demand this be fixed with more pictures of the green thing.

Sincerely,

- Forum User.

You have done a really good job with your build. How many miles are on your 98?

Thanks for the kind comments. Shes got 199,400 as of right now. Just took her + 4 others + a trunk full of camping gear up to Idyllwild this past week. Couldn't be more happier with the way she performed. :first:

Well guys, I'm back. These past few months have been pretty hectic for me. Started my new job a few weeks ago and everything is going smoothly. I'm finally starting to make enough money to fund my build:lock1: With that being said I still need to do:
-Timing Belt
-Water pump

You guys don't know how much I miss modding my runner, she's been so neglected! Slowly I'll get her to where I want her to be.

Stay tuned for some greatness!

-Matt

Hey guys, it's been too long since I have posted on here. Nothing much has changed unfortunately  Got these on today though. Rigid Industries D2 Floods with the CBI Ditch Light Bracket.
