tundra brakes - what year range?

What year and trim are you guys using for parts? I don't this it matterss just wanted see what you are using and just to make sure before buying parts. I was going to get parts from 2005 V8 4x4 Tundra.

Should work.

For the larger calipers make sure they are the 13WL casting. That's what I have on mine. Check out my build thread.

did you use all from the 03 Tundra?

The earlier tundras had 199mm calipers (13we casting) and the later ones had 231mm calipers (13wl casting). Both work and are good upgrades. Most opinions, including mine, is if you are going to do the work anyways just get the biggest brakes you can. I think the 231mm calipers were on 03 through 05 tundras. Good luck with the swap.

maybe 04, but they are the same. like the other guy above me said, also check out the link.


you need 2 calipers, 2 rotors and a set of brake pads.

once you trim the dust shield back everything bolts in place.

I'm try to search right for stainless brake lines. What are use guys using, brands, cost, & part number?

You all are assuming he has the wheels (or spacers) to clear the later 213 castings. If not, then he needs stuff from an earlier Tundra for the 199 casting....

Flex lines are the same. The system goes as follows:
Master Cylinder --> Hard Line --> Flex Line --> Hard Line --> Caliper

I have the factory gen3 five star rims. I know that it will fit 13WL calipers without spacer.

Yes i have the correct wheels 5 star factory 16's but i also have wheel spacers (not needed with these wheels tho)

the brake lines bolt right up. you dont need to buy anything for new lines. just brake parts.

What about the flex line?

dont need them.
