Finally did the fishbowl delete mod!
The dude I went to used to love SunTek, but SunTek was bought out by the parent company of Llumar(Eastman Chemical Company), and has gone downhill.
The founder/former CEO of SunTek started another company called Max Pro Films. They're dropping a new line of film that is ALMOST as efficient as ceramic at blocking heat, and matches the Toyota factory tint color really well!
He actually just had a sample roll, and I was his guinea pig for the new Element line.
It looks awesome.

Finally caught up on your build

Anyone reading this know of anyone who has swapped out the stupid '01/02 electric brake booster for the '96-'00 diaphragm style? I'm having a hard time re-mounting the VSC/TRAC/ABS computer(it was mounted right where the clutch pedal is), but I have to keep it for the booster and speedo to work. I have the Tacoma engine harness, so I have the VSS wiring. I'd have to get a VSS, do a little wiring, and I could have the speedo without needing the computer. Just trying to figure out the best option.
I'm not sure if I like the electric-boosted brakes as well either...

I nominate you to work this out, I've recently been thinking about this because 1) Its crazy expensive to replace the stupid booster 2) I feel like this is the main culprit in "squishy" pedal after the TBU 3) I actually feel safer with a manual system

I did the whole job after work yesterday- took me about 3hrs. Not too bad of a job, but I think the non-ABS(4cyl) MC has a smaller bore. I know the front brakes are smaller, somit would make sense. I say that because my pedal travel is more than I think it should be.
I'd like to now find a 4-bolt booster and "1-ton T100" master. The brakes work great, but I don't like the pedal travel.
The hardest part of the job was fishing the stupid rear lines through all the other EVAP lines [emoji30] I want to eventually replace the front lines with OEM non-ABS, but I used the front '01 lines for now.

Now I nominate you for a write up on how the rest of us can bail that lunchbox lookin mother

Your 4runner is so clean, holy cow. These millennium silvers look great when they are clean and really make all the black hardware stand out really well. My 4runner's body is more of a trail body, lol. I am not sure that there is a single area on mine that doesn't have some sort of dent or dimple, pretty much ALL of which were done from the PO. I am always impressed when I come across a show class looking 4runner that has made it this far and looks as good as it does. Nice looking tint man.

Guys, I quit using Tapatalk for several reasons and you named one of them. I just went back to using the browser on the phone. I've been so busy I haven't been on here as much either. Nothing new to post, until I bundle everything together and it all comes together. I do miss everyone's pics though!

So I told you that your level of OCD and completeness is inspiring. I meant it.

I installed a seperate fuse/relay box for my rack lights and even went as far as putting a laminated sticker diagram on the inside of the lid.

I was thinking how this might live up to your standards.

Wow small world! It's a decent little Chinese box I thought. If your buddy wants a diagram it's easy for me to change the words and get it laminated. (I just found out if yuh laminate sticker paper, after you cut it out the sticker still works with the plastic covering it!) so let me know and I can make another one and mail it.

You think this is cool, wait until I make new under hood smog and vacuum labels to match the engine swap. Going for full factory look.

Well.... I work in Napa and let's just say I haven't been too anxious to go to work so I've had some time indoors.

I told you I was working on the vacuum label. I combined a stock 5vz one from the Internet and TRD chart. You can see mine in the middle.

And since my 2nd gen is unique to say the least I had to add things like the VSV on the left side instead of the normal right side of the 3rd gens with this engine.

I just made up the little numbers and code on the very bottom. Looks stock to me!

Again, being anal retentive has its perks sometimes.
