UCA dog bone / cross member bolt issue

So I'm swapping out my UCA's for camberg's. Watched plenty of the tacoma video's first. Passenger side was cake save for a grease gun fail. Driver side removal was easy, and I did not have to go in and remove/ disconnect anything under the hood.

Reinstalling the long dog bone bolt however is where I'm having issues. I have the washers and uca's in place however the flange on the long bot is catching on something (I cannot see it) and its preventing the bolt from passing through both bushing sleeves on my uca.

So my truck is on a jack stand and I'm hitting the Jameson trying to think this though.

Although my truck is partially in the air, should I pop the hood and remove the battery and battery tray? Will I be be able to see the obstruction and find a workaround? Asking b/c removing the battery and tray were recommended in a taco video.

I haven't found any gen 5 specific UCA install videos despite weeks of research, so feel free to post links or google such suggestions. Any help is appreciated.

Should pop the hood and have a second person guide the bolt to you. You don't need to remove the battery or tray to get the bolt through. I recall it being a tight fit but the second pair of hands/eye and some good lighting will get it pass through with ease.

Yea it's kind of a pain. You gotta get in there and wiggle it around. Are you able to get the bolt started or can you not get it in at all?

Its almost all the way through. I have about 3 to 4 inches left before the flange catches on the obstruction

Okay so after sleeping on it I decided to stuff my cell phone into the wheel well and see if I could take a picture of the obstruction. It turned out to be a piece of metal with no wires attached, so with a small pair of pliers I grabbed it and bent it away from the bolt. Problem solved.
