This is fantastic. As for the Proximity key....there are 2 settings for the key, one to work if the key is in the front seat and another (default) to work when the key is anywhere in the vehicle.
I wonder if your kit would work if the setting is changed to "front seat only" for the key and they was in the trunk.
Thoughts?

Jesus. A reminder of how bad people can suck, especially over money. My time is money and this saves me a ton of time and money. If you work for peanuts, or don’t work at all, I can see how doing this yourself pays off, saving you a whopping $45. lol, which is a round of beers for a few friends.

looks like he used a sun shade cut to the dimensions of the window with duct tape around the edges..

Slightly off topic, but has anyone looked into how to provide power to the middle row windows to roll up/down while camping (ignition off)? I have screens for the middle doors/windows so would like to use those instead of the rear window.
Also with a rear drawer system, entering and exiting from the rear is difficult so I use the middle driver-side door.

I have tried to figure this one out but no luck yet!
[MENTION=165350]nytosc[/MENTION] please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding for the rear window rollup/down and unlock/lock buttons is that with keyless entry, the system needs to sense your keys within a few feet of the exterior of the trunk without being inside the car. So that part of the mod only works if your keys are in the hitch or in a lockbox, which can be kind of annoying and potentially unsafe.
However, I think the hatch unlock part of the mod would work in all circumstances as long as you unlock the car first. If so that would still be pretty useful - while sleeping in the back you could first unlock the car with your keyfob then press the hatch unlock button to pop the trunk from the inside.
[MENTION=165350]nytosc[/MENTION] would you consider selling a cheaper version of the kit that only includes the hatch pop function?
Thanks. That clears things up a bit. Guess I was conflating the two functions and was confused, because the truck definitely will lock with the fob inside.
My question was also prompted by ambiguity in the manual: after discussing smart keys and non-smart keys (both clear enough), the text mentions "remote" keys. So, is that just a smart key?
Of course, I'd like the mod to perform both functions. I'll go out and check--as soon as it warms up a bit.
