Some commented on the good price I received at sub $1,800 delivered, and I see that pricing again via 10% discount at Northridge 4x4, which has free shipping.

Here they are on the RCV website:

Ultimate IFS CV Axle Set for Toyota Tacoma ('95.5-'04) and 4runner ('95-'02)

They are NOT on the Northridge 4x4 website though. Didn't stop me from calling to place an order and they confirmed they can order alright, even though not on the website... I did so over the summer.

Three codes look to work on RCV axles on their website: LABOR, SPOOKY and SHARKTANK.

And, as a bonus, add this deflator and it should come free.

okay, lets take a look at their warranty policy:

RCV warranties mechanical failure of the product for the duration of ownership by the original purchaser.
“Mechanical failure” is defined as failure of a component function while operating under design constraints.
All claims are subject to review and acceptance by RCV in its sole discretion.

Emphasis me. That doesnt sound very 'no questions asked' to me. I will play devils advocate though and say that i have never used their warranty or i have no idea how good/bad it is. but the problem i have here is the 'no questions asked' blurb on the product page does NOT match their warranty policy page (they do this to cover their ass). when you are paying that much $$ for a superior product, it should be no questions asked.

I've never heard of anyone having a problem warrantying their axle shafts through RCV as long as proof of original ownership was established.
 
well thats good to know! sort of lame that if you sell your vehicle with these installed the warranty is void, but i guess that would be the new owners issue.
 
The customer service is seemingly legendary. I had been hearing about them for a very long time and when a forum member here raved about them, I bought a set on a whim while on the phone when I was told they would honor the discount. Still on the garage floor, to be installed, likely after the holidays...

Wear not included, which is expected, but if it snaps, you'll get a replacement. Found this on a Jeep forum.

Regardless, I was told by a couple folks that I got a good deal, so just passing it along, plus the free deflator, even a better deal than what I got.

The warranty may be void but these axles don't break. Period.

RCV uses stronger mateial then Lotus. They also redesigned both inner and outer joints. Lotus only redesigned the outer joint. They left the inner the same as OEM. RCV has a lifetime warranty. Lotus has a 1 year warranty.

I have run RCV's for two years now. I wheel a lot and I wheel hard. I haven't replaced a CV in those two years. Like I said, they don't break.

Hey, as I think you know, AB contacted me a month or so back about these and the pricing I got. I pinged him earlier over PM to let him know. If you have another way to reach him, you might want to do so. Maybe he got them already, or something else...

Yes, would be 10% off $1,995, or $1,795, free shipping. I attempted to order some other RCV axles on their website and the 10% took, with the free shipping, and that deflator is automatically added or one can add it for no charge. It uses batteries though, so I ended-up not buying it, but if free...

Again, need to call and place an order. Just say that's it's for some RCV axles not listed on the website, but that was not an issue before... They are a Jeep shop, predominantly...

No sir, I wheel hard. You wheel like a damn mad man on SAS and 40s. And its incredible.

If you break an RCV I still wouldn't worry if I was anyone, but Matt.
 
The only bad thing about these is they are so strong that if something were to break it would probably be the diff instead of the axle. So now instead of changing a CV your changing the diff. Regardless will be way stronger than stock for sure though.
