Upcoming new design for WM Full Length racks!

Options I would pay for:

- Loom guides such as those that Dirtco just placed on his rear tire swing out
- Mounting plates for a LED bar on the front (probably custom, very much dependent on the LED bar itself)
- Side mount plates for LED's (such as a 4x4 pod)
- As mentioned, a ladder rack would be nifty
- Some sort of wind faring (with a cut out for the LED bar??)
- Tabs for limb risers on the front


Stellar product, really makes me consider swapping out my Baja rack.

All racks come with a 3" wide light shelf built into the lower front. I try to work with folks on LED bar builds and recommend sending me the light for custom fitment at no extra charge. Light tabs I'll put anywhere you need for $5 each. There are a few write-ups on DIY fairings from plexi or acrylic, easy and fun way to customize your rack and fit any lights you have. I'm very easy to work with and if you have custom plans I'm happy to work them in.

When I started reading your post about the logo, at first I was a little bummed. I have never been a fan of cut out logos on things like bumpers and skidplates. Always seemed like putting looks ahead of function, and I was a little afraid this would be the same. Once I took a good look at your rack drawing, though, I must say I am impressed. The are small enough that they obviously don't hurt from a strength standpoint, and the logo looks damn clean.

I can weld in fixed bars for 10 each or build adjustable crossbars for 40 each. Its one inch so it should accommodate popular accessories.

I'm leery to run a special as these are priced pretty tightly already and now materials cost more. Still debating. There are bigger savings in splitting shipping if someone near you is also interested.

that new design looks real good. i have one of the very first design ones and its holding up great. ive put all kinds of stuff on it from firewood to sleeping on it on night. keep up the good work.
maybe add a bottle opener gusset somewhere that would be real slick.

Hey guys,

I've seen a few people in here asking about the availability of fairings for their WM roof racks. I am currently designing and prototyping a fairing for my roof rack. I spoke with Josh about the possibility of offering my fairing up to other people and he was game, so here are some renderings of what I have going on.





Basically I just want to gauge interest in this fairing. I'll be making one for my rack regardless, and I'm hoping to have that done within a week or two. So, who might want want of these? This first one will be set up for the older style roof racks with the tube stanchions. When the new style start coming out, it can be changed to mount on the sides differently. After I fit it on my rack, the front of it will be extended to match the curve of the roof line.

It uses rubber lined cable clamps to attach, and stainless hardware. All of the tiny holes you see are for pop rivets. The cool thing is, this will be extremely easy to ship, and if you would rather buy your hardware separately, you can do so. Obviously, some assembly will be required. I may need assistance from the interested parties to make sure that this will work with any variability in the racks.

Quick question and not trying to take this too far off topic but will you be adding this to the future 5th gen full length rack? Like everyone still trying to decide on a rack I've narrowed my search down to two... And I like how you are local... Well closer to TN LOL. Also when will the 5th gen rack be completed

Thanks man but I'm still 5th gen donor-less. If and when I ever get one built it will share the same mounting system as the 4th gen which includes the strap hooks on the mounts, so the aide plates won't be needed. Unfortunately, another member swooped in and put out a 5th gen before I could and that's the way it goes sometimes...

Completely understand to bad I'm in tn or I would donate. If you still don't have a 5th gen by then, my wife and I vaca in Florida and I'm sure I can convince her and our family to go toward your direction ha.
