URD 7th injector tuning maps

I also use Torque Pro and there is a PID for Ignition Advance, that's your timing. You'll want to log that with RPM, MAP, TPS, and I think I also did MPH. You can then export the data to CSV from Torque and put it to an Excel file to create a graph. Kind of a PITA, but he only way I've found to get a good look at what's going on. I think I made a post about it in my water/meth thread linked in my sig with some screen shots.

I'm using the URD 7th injector with MAF calibrator or whatever it's called that manipulates part throttle boost enrichment and I found it very easy to setup and tune. When I added the water/meth I had to just about disable the 7th and was able to completely zero out the timing map. With your lager injectors you'll just have to play with it to find the sweet spot, but you'll know when you're there. The truck will pull like you won't believe.

Yeah I'm getting pretty darn close, after I lowered the AFR's in closed loop it woke up my engine.

I will have to play around with the export feature, I could never get it to work right. At least I know it can be done, I kinda just gave up on it since it just threw errors.

Yeah, Torque's interesting, but I'm not aware of another package that'll give us what we need. On my other rides I use a really slick tool that logs everything and displays it real time, graphs on the computer, the works. Wish we had that for these trucks.

I never could get the "email log" function to work. I had to connect my mobile device to my PC and go find the log file and copy it over. Then the fun of trying to make it look right in an Excel graph. If you get a log and want to email it to me I can try to look at it and tell ya what I see.

Oh geez, that's a bit of work. I'll give it a try though.

If I try to go 100+ in my 4Runner I'd either run out of road real quick or get pulled over immediately, the interstate near me is swarming with CHP officers lol!

Ok guys. I need some help.

timing map is stock
fuel map is mostly stock

I have not tuned for WOT because i haven't gotten CL figured out.

My issue is the AFR ramping or enriching feature. Overpressure is set to 2psi

when I go past 2 psi my AFRs go wild. they usually go to 12. something momentarily to 13.5 and just jump around all over the place from 13.1-14.0 AFR. usually around 13.5 though. This is anywhere between 2-5PSI

once I hit 5psi and up they'll jump to 11.5-12.5 AFR.

again fuel map is stock except for adding 1.1 through 2500 rpm at 4psi. so usually the extra injector is spraying but its always at 1.1 duty cycle.


any ideas?

Has anyone tuned the URD 7th injector that is currently in the Phoenix metro area? This stuff is completely foreign to me and I'm experiencing engine ping around 2600rpm under load. Thanks in advance.

Bumping this thread in hope of people sharing their timing and fuel maps. Finally got my afr installed and going to dive into all of this tuning. Seem to experiencing ping in low boost and under 3k rpm. I'm assuming that messing with the timing map is what fixes this ping? I need to wire a serial port to the afr gauge so I can record everything. It's useless to try to listen, look and drive at the same time.
