I'm guessing not. Its a common thing among the import car scene to delete you cat. I know I did on most of mine. :whoo:

Couple things... There are no emissions in WA for vehicles manufactured after 2009. The rear cats barely do anything.

I didn't run a cat on my old Audi for the majority the 8 years I had it. My software was flashed so it didn't throw a code, and as long as they did the smog test through the ODBII port I never once failed. I only ever had problems when I lived in CA when I had to put my cat back in to pass smog cuz they used a tailpipe sniffer.

You can get the exhaust separately and keep your stock y pipe.

Guess I'm the only one in this thread that tried to bash my cross over pipe flatter with a 5lb sledge, for better clearance with my skid plates :smash:
I'd also give up 50HP at 5500rpm at WOT for 20 ft/lb at 2400rpm.

Ceramic coated the y pipe at performance coatings. They did a very nice job. Perfectly coated inside and out. Nothing was missed. The finish is grey ice.

Professional installation recommended. Hangers needed to be bent. A bracket holding a heat shield on the rear frame had to be bent. Otherwise, great quality piece.

Also got the truck on the Dyno pre installation. Put down 235 rwhp and 240 rwtq. Will need to schedule a run post installation.

Review:

Professional installation highly recommended. Hangers and rear bracket will need to be bent. Additionally, a heat shield bolt above the axle over pipe will need to be cut off, (you will notice the rattle after installation).

Very loud at WOT. There is a drone at 2500 rpm going 70 mph. This is a deal breaker for many of you. Below 2500 rpm the drone is barely noticeable. I may consider swapping a bigger magnaflow in at some point down the line... For now it's perfect!

On the butt Dyno there are definitely gains. Immediately noticed improvement in low end - which is the purpose of this equal length system. I will get this on the Dyno soon. Tried installing it immediately after the baseline stock run but the tuner shop couldn't do it. It needed a professional exhaust shop to make the minor adjustments necessary.

Overall very happy with the system.
-Performance? Exceeds expectations. Dyno pending.
-Sound? Loud at WOT. Low rumble at start up, idle, and cruising speed. No rasp, but there is a drone at 2500 rpm 70 MPH.
-Looks? In my opinion, best looking exhaust on the market period.
-Quality? Great. Due to the minor modifications required.

The gains are definitely noticeable. Which makes me think that this will net 10+ rwtq all along the power band. If you look at the stock y pipe this is not surprising. The Dyno shop attempted installation immediately after making the baseline run and couldn't get this to bolt up. A big problem was the rear bracket that the heat shield bolts to in the following picture. This actually needs to be cut off or bent entirely out of the way.
