So its been a long day to say the least. Definitely a lot more knowledgeable then where I was last night. Needless to say Total Chaos has some work they need to do for their mid travel 'kit' when using kings with the adjusters on a 4Runner. The spec's that king has from them are incorrect for a 4runner but will work with a Tacoma or FJ. I ended up having to switch the passenger with the driver and vice versa. Then manipulate the fitting at the shock for the resi and rotate it. This helped a lot with gaining clearance around the shock and upper control arm.
The next thing I will need to do is fab up a bracket that can span between the frame and cross member so I can weld the rest mounts to that. Very very frustrating that this is supposed to be a kit...
The other thing that is different on the Kings for the TC kit is you end up with about a 2" larger Resi then the stock OEM Kings. Which = even more of a PIA.
Good news is that I won't be needing to send these back to King. So hopefully have it up and running by next week. Hard to get my buddies that have the welder to keep making these trips to me.
Will try to update with some better photos tomorrow and this weekend. Thanks for all the help guys! Definitely a fickle little guy.
