Lots of good questions! Ordering King shocks is not for the faint of heart thats for sure! As you can tell I went with the TC mid travel kit. TC works directly with King to get the shock valved a certain way, the shock to be a certain length, and all the fittings to work for the resi mounts. I also went with adjustable resi's. Some people naysay them but I love them. I can customize the ride jsut the way I want them. Yes you set it and forget it, but you get the exact ride you want that is specific to your rig and your style of driving. Worth it to me! I went with the 700lb coils in the front and man does it make a difference. You get alot of lift and it handles all the crap I have on the front. So, as far as 8 or 10" I'm not sure. I think @LTSDC has done the 10" in the rear but had to do some finaggling to get that to work. It sounds more like you want to go with Kings OEM kits. Much easier to bolt on and sort out. As far as the rear goes I had King make a custom rear shock for me the compressed length is 16.97" and the extended is 28.30". I had them do this to match MT's setup for their long travel. Thus the use of their spring. Not 100% on the spring yet. I ended up with a reverse rake at first and now that the rear bumper is on I'm curious if I will need to go with a custom spring to get me the lift I need and the support for the rear bumper and adventure trips. The concept of the dual rate spring I like alot and so far it has done wonderful. I will be able to get a full report on the performance of this setup here in Mid may. Have a Moab trip planned with some friends! Hopefully this kind of answers your questions. Shoot me a PM if you want any other pointers.
