Veterans Day - T4R 5th Gen Style

I was just thinking it would be nice to do something for one of our 5th gen military members for Veterans Day. Maybe a group buy donation from one of our sponsors. I don't know, just something to show our appreciation for one of the many who give so much so that we can enjoy so many of the freedoms that our great country provides.

Seems like an awesome organization. Would be nice if we could set a group donation goal to meet by Veterans Day, which is on Tuesday, November 11th. Maybe we can keep this thread going until then. Or maybe it will be on page three of the forum by lunch time :-(

That would be awesome, but any of us veterans that can afford a 4runner don't need the hand out. Set up a pool to help the homeless vets, disable or truly in need. I appreciate the thought, but would much rather see someone benefit that really needs it.

Great! How about the Wounded Warrior Project? I will post up a link at the top and see if others have any interest. Maybe we could set a group goal or something.

I want to start off by saying I have many friends who have been helped by a lot of veteran organizations to include WWP and I am a veteran myself.

With that said WWP has higher operating costs than some other organizations out there like Operation Homefront. WWP has a 16.7% overhead while Operation Homefront has 3.9%.

Please don't let this discourage donating in general but my point is to make you aware that your dollar might be able to go farther to help those in need.
