vinyl wrap vs plasti dip

Troy with Dipping unlimited in Kirkland WA did the work. Highly recommended. Flawless wrapped corners. Finished the front bumper, roof rails and trim on the sides. He will be wrapping my door handles and tail gate center piece next week.

Emblems were plastidipped.

When he wrapped your tailgate. Is that one solid wrap over the letters and the base or did he wrap the base then the letter and logo separately?

He actually cut the letters out of the vinyl wrap. Not sure why he chose to do that. He explained that he doesn't like to put plastidip or double stick tape over vinyl... I still don't really understand that but his technique worked anyway. The original technique we discussed was to vinyl wrap the base and place a sticker over it. I still have the unused 4Runner sticker I specifically bought for this purpose. Last minute he changed his mind.

Thanks. I avoided the touch lock/unlock portion of the handles. Check out 3m's other brushed finishes. Other finishes I considered are the brushed titanium and brushed steel. Both of which also look stellar. Ultimately decided on brushed black aluminum.

Plastidipped the letters. Then wrapped the base with letters cut out. Hope that makes sense.

Gotcha! I thought the letters were wrapped. My bad.
