So yeah, smoke's gotten so bad that the air quality in my area is worse than China. At least it's a natural smog. lol

How you guys handling the smoke? Supposed to keep going for maybe as much as another week. Yeesh, those "Oxygen Bars" are starting to look less like hipster crap and more like lucrative business!

Went shooting today and it was just a miserable experience between the heat and smoke.

A couple of weeks back I to the family South to view the eclipse from Cordon, Or. I would of fine further but i could see the heavy smoke to the South. On my return trip I ran into the same passing through the eastern slopes of the Cascades in Washington State. I was planning on some off road activities for photography but it was way too hazy.
Time to install a cabin oxygen system!!

Yeah, heard it jumped the Columbia! To think Eagle Creek was started because some dipshit thought using fireworks when there's already forest fires was a good idea. Common sense ain't common these days.

Sisters, OR was pushing over 400 on the air quality index today, Bend is hovering over 200 all last couple weeks. Me thinks I'm wearing my respirator for the next couple weeks. lol

Yea, this smoke and ash sucks! Today was the first day you could actually see a tiny bit of blue skies and yellow sun.

I'm only about 20 miles from the Fire that jumped to the Washington side. Sounds like they have a pretty good handle on it though.

This was a couple days ago. You can usually see Mt. Jefferson from my back porch when it's clear.

We had ash all over everything in Mukilteo about 3 days ago, crazy stuff. We drove up through OR last week and it was pretty bad then too.

Yeah. We were on our way back from Alberta to Tacoma and took 97 (I think) through Cle Elum and we had large ash falling on our truck. Light was going down too so it looked like snow at night.

Its really bad in the Mckenzie bridge area. I am at Clear lake and for the past few weeks we could only see across the lake (1.5 miles) 3 times. The horse creek complex is moving toward us. Last week I had to evacuate all guests and staff for a day, but they are now back. (That was a fire 5 miles form us but they got it under control) All campgrounds have shut down for the season, a month early.
