WFO9 Supercharger Install and results thread

Pulley will get messed up.....and the torque is simply way too high. They are locked on with red threadlocker and way over 200 ft/lbs. You need at least 800 to break it loose.
I used an neumatic impact gun with 800lbs torque and came off no problem. Also went ahead and torque it back using nothing but a torque rachet. No issues

Since its the install and results thread. Here is my finished shop truck a 2014 TTUE fjc. The only one in the pilot program out of the 10 kits. Also body color matched. Its all smiles per gallon now.

Not sure how you could torque it back with nothing but a torque wrench. The motor just turns over. Now, if you had a manual trans...

There could be another solution, but I could not find one for re-install.

I think the OP should’ve got this kit for free with all the R&D , back and forth and loss of use. This is more than just a test fit at this point and we’re moving into full on R&D territory. Thank you to the OP for your patience and commitment to this project , as a serious future buyer I sure appreciate it. Good luck and hope they get it straight.

Thanks, but just to clarify something.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like this. The vehicle is very usable and drives good enough for most.... it's just not up to my standards yet and I'm trying to keep it 100% full on transparent without creating any drama. Which is a fine line to walk on public forums. Since so many people quickly go for drama and controversy...

I want this to be a good product for no other reason than to have options for those wanting more power from this platform.

I took it offroad for the first time yesterday with the SC on. It was mostly dirt roads (not my usual thing) but I did get in one or two technical crawl sections at the very end of the day.

I was surprised that I actually leveraged some of the low end power while crawling to pop the rear up a ledge...

On the dirt roads I was shocked how much traction you can get in 4wd. It's quite the rush, but probably not good to do very often.

The best part is the sound.. It just sounds bad ass out in tight trails even at very light throttle...

Strong work, wfo9 . It’s pretty clear your thoughts will improve the final product. I am getting this thing as soon as possible, so thanks for indirectly improving my rig

BTW- I vote for separate “the fuel situation in Baja” thread...

That's scary. Do you mean before the SC install, or after? ;)

What kind of numbers are you getting now on a typical tank of gas?

It got worse after by about 2mpg according to the DIC. But don't have enough data yet and don't really trust the display.

I think part of it is the tune being so conservative on the timing at part throttle. I see a lot of single digit advance being commanded at hwy conditions going up grades... It stays in 5th gear makes low boost and never revs or even unlocks the TC.. but that timing is inefficient and needs some tweaking IMO. Perfectly flat ground it does about the same as stock, but I have very little flat ground where I live.

Was out playing around the other day and got a few clips of the sound...
