What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

How does it feel/drive after installing the 1/2" BodyLift? i've thought about that.. don't they also make a 1"?

I have never been a fan of body lifts but after installing my front Shrockworks bumper and rear CBI with tire carrier it seems the body and frame like to flex quite a bit while daily driving and off roading. I had to do something because over time the fenders will likely begin to dent and get ruined. I noticed that the front fenders were getting some contact occassionally with the corners of the front bumper. I was going to just remove the bumper and drill out the holes so I could adjust it down lower a little and remove the rear bumper and re-cut the plastic corner OE bumper trim. But for $35 I thought this was a better route. My OPOR sliders were pretty close to the body as well so it gave it a good little gap and room for flexing. Pretty simple install and I am happy with the look of it.

I really don't even notice any difference in handling other than the steering feels maybe just a tad bit tighter. The guy that makes the BL (link in my post) makes a 1/2", 1", 1 1/2" and a 2". The 1/2" doesn't require longer bolts, steering link spacer or radiator drop. Anything over 1/2" requires that other stuff which comes with the kit he sells.

Not today, but from 27 SEPT 14, forgot to post up.
Met up with some Tacoma World and 3rd Gen guys and went to up to Gallagher Head Lake via the Fortune Creek Trail, about 5500 feet up the Wenatchee National Forest.

It was some amazing scenery. I ended up getting a little buzzed early on, so did not make it to the top with some of the others. So camped out with two other dudes at the lake. Oh man was it cold. Great time, and a rather easy place to get to. I wish I could capture in images the true beauty of the PNW. The stars were amazing that night. Zero light pollution.

Lesson leaned, I need a new/real front skid plate.

I enjoyed the hot, dry desert area a few days ago, but these photos look much better. We have been thinking of moving to the PNW and photos like these make it more attractive.

I've lived a lot of different places in this great country of ours. I do not miss living in deserts of Arizona at all. But, every time I left Pacific Northwest I always missed it and have always come back. My pictures do not capture the sheer beauty if this area. Every time I go to one of the National Forest and Stare Parks I realize how lucky I am.

You wouldn't like it here. It rains, the salmon fishing sucks, to many wineries, to many brew pubs, to hard to decide between going to the beach or the mountains or the dry side (oops meant less wet side), the people are unfriendly.... The list goes on and on. Just simply a very unpleasant and unattractive place.

Looks like you are trying to discourage people from going there, that won't work, we have already done house hunting trips around Salem.

Got called a "soccer mom" by some Heep clown out at Hidden Falls here it TX. Proceeded straight up the exit of the L5 run I passed them on. Waited at the top to see what how he did.

Proceeded to strap him up after he got all crossed up for nearly 30 mins. He didn't say much than "Thanks". I didn't either. His buddies stuck behind him waiting on the exit? They weren't so nice to him. LOL! They gave props to the T4R too. Guess there's one in every group.

15,000 mile maintenance

Took my '13 SR5 in for its 15,000 mi maintenance, which is basically a waste of time. But I did it to grab free coffee and breakfast :hungry:, and as an excuse to get to Eastern Mountain Sports just up the road.

I took my '14 in for the 15k on Saturday too. 15k in 9 months!
