Haha! Thanks it's really scenic there. Most of the trails we did were in an easy wash through the canyon.

I have a Toytec Boss lift but I'm pretty sure a stock 4Runner can navigate most of the terrain.

There's also a few areas to hike and take in.

Sounds like we have 3 interested. Maybe we should start a new thread and plan an outing?

Back then I had just a small lift (1.75" front and 1.5" rear) stock size all terrains and rock sliders. There were some hard parts that required some spotting to avoid damage. A stock 4Runner could make it, but you'll need a spotter, better tires and probably sliders. This was two years ago, though. The trail may be more eroded now.

Here the slider without the arms and plates for mounting. They looked great mounted if you don't need a step. However my wife drives the TE during the week and needs a step, so they are going to make the slider 3/4" wider, full tread plate and 10 degree angle instead of the 20 degree standard. Now that Josh has the mounting plates worked out for KDSS everything else can be customized as far as angle and width. More pics to come once there done and I figure out how to upload more than one pic at a time from my iPad.

Oh Crap Version 2.0

Off to run some errands, so headed for the garage. Hit the garage door opener button. Garage door started to open. Got into driver's seat. Put GDO into console cubby hole. Must have inadvertently hit the GDO button again. Garage door stopped opening with 2nd button tap. Door not quite all the way open. Backed out till heard and felt something abnormal. Yep - the rear supports of the roof rack were into the bottom edge of the garage door. Fortunately, the door was open just far enough so it rode up the angled rear edges of the supports instead of butting into the base of the supports. Could have been a lot worse, but this deserves a hearty "Oh Crap" nonetheless.

So far in the last week, I have installed the Sleekster Sliders, the Fox suspension, TC UCAs, alignment, finished up the stereo install, and drove to Boise yesterday to install the front window and windshield tint today.

Tomorrow we do the hood wrap and the new graphics. :lookout:

The Painted Hills of Eastern Oregon

I made a short trip to the Painted Hills in eastern Oregon. The area is sparsely populated with range cattle on the roadways. It's one of eastern Oregon's seven wonders. There was overnight snow around the 4,000 foot level. Go prepared because services are limited. The few hearty range people I met, were friendly and helpful

Ordered Camburg ball joint UCA's. I know the other options and for me it came down to those or the TC, I think the TC are overkill for me. Given my past history they will sit in the box 2-3 months before I get around to install so if they are back ordered no big deal. Hahaha
