I finally got my wife to drive off-road. I wanted to get a photo as she took it across a small dip. She kept control and I was a passenger the next two hours. High price to pay for one photo.

My Shrockworks sliders already paid for themselves! Some old lady hit me in a parking lot. She hit the truck around the rear drivers-side door/ rear tire. It gave me a pretty good whack, but as far as I can tell there's no damage to my truck other than the wheel and a bulge on the tire. I'm going to have it put up on a lift and evaluated on Monday. It was a low speed accident, but it definitely would have caused some expensive body damage if not for my sliders and big tires.

I HATE parking lots! They seem to be where the IQ drops even lower than on normal pavement! People pull in and IQ auto-drops 20 points, multiplied by cellphone usage and/or last minute hair check.

First glad everyone is okay, clueless or not.

Second...Haha sure broke some plastic on her car though aye! Not that I spend any time in parking lots, other than unavoidable food acquisitions, I await impatiently for mine!

In addition to the under-inspection, get that wheel on a balancer to make sure it's not out of round. Strap the senior to the balancer while you're at it. Just kidding, the poor woman now has to deal with stuff she probably has no clue about.

Got my wheels swapped out today, finished up my Vleds install, and added some LC badging love. There are a TON of BP 4Runners around Dallas..so nice to have a slightly different look than all the others.

I'll get around to some "real" mods eventually!

Good idea. She offered to pay cash for repairs. I think I'll have her buy me a new wheel and maybe a tire. She's actually getting away pretty easy with that IMO.

Southern Calif desert, east of Barstow between the 15 and 40 freeways. It`s called the Mojave Preserve. There are 3 north-south roads, Kelbaker, Essex/Black Canyon and Landfair. Cedar Canyon runs across them west to east in the northern part. Part of the Mojave Road crosses and merges a few times. It`s an easy, graded, well maintained dirt road with campgrounds and a few sights like Hole in the Wall, Kelso Depot and Lava Tubes.
There are a few soft sandy washes to keep it interesting. We went 2 days after a light snow. This was on a loop road around Hole in the Wall called Wild Horse Canyon.

Got an alignment this morning. While I was sitting at the dealership picturing myself stealing a Landcruiser I happened to check the surf and it happened to be up. After leaving the dealership I went straight to the beach and caught a few waves. Here are a few images.

Yes, I have used this a few times. It's sticky It was what you would typically use for this. As with any adhesive, even more so if your are critical of the finish, first test it in an inconspicuous place. It is rubber based, it won't "eat" your paint. Removal use dental floss between the emblem and paint and if needed clean the area gently with a general adhesive remover (ie paint safe, like mineral spirit) and a microfiber cloth, should clean it back to original state, wax and polish the removal spot after.
