I paid $1413.84 in Feb. '13. Same tires, load range etc. Also got a $100.00 Visa gift card for signing up for Discount Tire credit card. 9 months no interest as well.
I just got a quote for 285/70/R17's goodyear MTR's for 1500 x5.

Put on the spare tire due to a flat. Got home and plugged the hole. After inflation saw this. Question: is this tire shot? My guess is yes. Not even good for a spare. Have about 30,000 miles with a lot of tread life left on it.
I wouldn't drive on it if you can avoid it...I'd check the warranty...seems like there's a bigger issue going on there.
There is no engine/ignition noise or interference.
Have not been out of the city yet. Quiet, less busy channels appear ok
I'm using the aux output from the small box with a cable to the Aux in on the T4R. Plugged in as needed.
Using a magnetic roof mount antenna for now with cable connected as needed by closing the door on it and leaving the excess cable on the floor. This antenna set up worked well a few weeks ago with my old radio in the Mojave Preserve.
Sounds like a winner. I use an external speaker. Also use a magnetic roof mount antenna, as I use the CB very seldom. I'm guessing you run the coax out the tailgate door? Seems like a better location to avoid pinching the coax.:driving:
Great thank you@RasJeff!
Thanks J-BlickPhoto. What load range are yours? I have found the thicker ply to be worth the additional running cost, purchase cost and noise. You bring a good point to try different stores.
That's not a safe tire. The cord is delaminating. If there is any warranty left, it will be prorated. I would also approach the manufacture defect angle of adjustment/replacement. There 'might" even be a recall on that numbered manufactured series. Good luck and replace/ditch that tire.Put on the spare tire due to a flat. Got home and plugged the hole. Nothing too big, but got my TC lower link skids painted and installed this weekend.

They're d's.
^^the issue is probably from driving on it while un-inflated...you can easily break the cords in the sidewalls from doing that even for just a very short distance. Once the cords inside break there's nothing to hold the rubber "flat", hence the bulges you see.
IMO, definitely not safe for even a spare tire. I'd just chalk it to as a maintenance expense and scrap the tire, there's better places to save money![]()
Thanks for the feed back fellas. Ya I figured this was a no go. Heard a big thump while on the freeway. By the time I made an exit off the freeway(which was about 1/4mi). The tire was completely flat. It wasn't the greatest area to pull off to the side. I made it to my brother inlaws house that was just off this offramp. Installed BudBuilt skids today.
Was going to install rocktek upper and lower link armor, but mine are already too chewed up to fit them on. Going to have to go to town with a torch and BFH to straighten them out first.
Discovered both my rear Icon shocks are blown at 20k miles, leaking oil
Found a tear in my left lower ball joint boot.
