Our 4R Has A What??

Yesterday we took a trip to a local state park... ended up hiking just shy of three miles with our pups. On the way, Ollie discovered the moonroof... and then proceeded to take the best seat in the house. He stood with his front feet on the center console the whole way to the park.

I am in Northern KY, but drive southwest along the Ohio river to work everyday. I already had about 3" when I got up at 04:30. We've probably had an additional 3" or so fall since then. Had a couple uncomfortable moments involving an idiot in a pickup truck assuming 4 wheel drive was invincible, and some crosswinds blowing snow off of trees creating a brief white out. The 4runner performed beautifully minus the awful stock tires (which have now jumped immediately to the top of my to-mod list even though they have hardly any wear).

Drove out to MetalTech today and picked up my MT sliders. Saw their 5th Gen, FJ, and tundra. Pics of the sliders when I install them and new to me wet okole seat covers in a couple days.

You don't need to pop up your wipers. You have a wiper defroster for exactly that reason.

It doesn't work that well in these real cold temps... my passenger side still freezes up and won't wipe it clean.

I've never had a vehicle that shrugs off snow like this 4Runner! Driving in 10+" of powder over dirt roads is simply non-eventful.

After I turned off all the electronic nannies I did powerslides and donuts in an abandoned parking lot for about an hour. I felt like a little kid!
